ive just seen his new album has leaked and it got me thinkin why is this guy overlooked as i think he is a very talented artist with his own style and he is one of the only a few westcoast artists that have had commercial successful albums in the last 4 years or so
-
Because hes more pop oriented maybe. I like some of his shit.
-
Because Dubcc is so afraid to embrace an artist who isn't Crippin or Bloodin in every verse.
-
As I said in 2003, Latino artist need to take note, 'cause though Lil' Rob and Capon-e are popular, Baby Bash just updated the Latino Rap sound. Latino Rap needs more artist to come out with a more polish sound if they want to sell, Baby Bash proved it could work.
-
I give Baby Bash alot of props for doin what he's doin. & I will admit that I like a few of his songs, but on the real Bash has some of the cheesiest corny lines/raps ever, and can't nobody deny that.

"cause its about that time...for me and you to get together like corona with lime" lol

I've always been a fan of his music.
-
baby bash is not from the west coast. hes from the south if im not mistaken.
-
He's from Vallejo, and then moved to Texas later on.
-
so should we label him an artist from the west or south?
what does he say?
-
let's just leave it in the West Coast section ;D I've always considered him West Coast.
-
i like baby bashs older music. now a days hes making bitch music (music for the ladies). im
not mad at him. make that money homeboy.
-
he got some coo music.
-
his from the west, his cousin in Frankie J who is from Diego, and he moved to Texas to work with SPM and get a more pop friendly sound. Saying Baby Bash is not west is like saying LL Cool J is not east, even though LL lives in LA.
-
bash still reps the bay hard

i didnt know he moved to texas to work wit spm. i always thought they jus grew up together in texas.
but i dont think SPM gave him the pop sound. or maybe im wrong, cus SPM always had that dark rap music.

What about this rumor where Baby Bash was supposedly "kicked out" of Vallejo, CA? Some Chicano Rap forums say he was bitch slapped or some shit. I just want that cleared up.
On the tip, I've always considered Bash as a crossover artist. If you listen to his old stuff, even before moving to Texas (his Chicano era under the moniker Baby Beesh), you'll notice that his lyrics and tone of voice are as calm, smooth and laid out as any R&B singer. He didn't need to be hard, rugged or macho just to get his point across; the wisdom and passion in his music was enough to make a name for himself in the Bay Area.
EDIT: Eddie, interview him. You may even want to ask why an explicit version for Cyclone was never issued (disappointment to most of us).
-
im gonna try to get something setup wit eddie and bash. i know someone that knows him quite well so hopefully i can pull some strings
-
yeah man lookin forward to that.. Bash is a kool dude.. real humble dude..

u mean the whole album cause album is called cyclone i just picked it up and whole labum is edited/clean i was goona go back tommorow and try to exchange it but it is becuse all the albums were released clean? thats dumb cause theres a few songs on there with quite a bit of cuss words and that just sounds dumb... but the album is solid pretty dope even tho he has most songs that are slow he still makes em sound fly and has a good vibe to it.. yall should check it out
-
that cyclone track is cool
-
Yea i always considered him a west dude..its cool to see him getting love out here in Virginia for that cyclone song...u dont hear anything out here that is west...
-
I Ain't Heard Too Much Of His Shyt, But His Commercial & Radio Shyt That I HAVE Heard Iz Aiight Witt Me...
Support Tha West....

bash still reps the bay hard
How?
http://myspace.com/babybash look at the location: Houston, Texas.
Him and Frankie J are bitches. They both rep Texas. Frankie J will sneak and wear a Padres fitted from time-to-time but still fuck him. I have no love for niggas that sell out their hometowns when they blow up.
-
he's alrite but even tho alot of ppl like it im not feelin that cyclone song
-
baby bash ain't gangsta enough for all the tough guys on dubcc 8)
-
I like alot of the stuff he did with Jay Tee... "What's Going On" with them and Frost is a top 10 westcoast summer anthem imo.
