Another odd list of things for us to make ;)
List songs where artists mention the equipment they're using.
e.g. this from Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth - Straighten it Out (from Mecca and the Soul Brother)
'The funk legacy I pass on, clearancy for high rates
Every time we sample all the past time greats
Stick it in the SP-1200 beat, I make a loop
Lovely, where the Troop in a Lexus coupe
Just a little bit, set to make a whole lot happen
The musical inside my rappin'
Written by the C.L., produced by the P.R.
And add in any credit that you heard thus far
I start from scratch, cuz the bass line's critical
Better than the original who first made it
But now you want to sue me, but fans never boo me
Believe I know the times, we been broke, too, G
Here's another sample clear, seeya, get the hell outta here
Like a bootleg, you're over for the year
You'll only get the credit where the credit is due
So, listen, what I shout out is true'

Sure, This Is Easy:
"Freeze... AT Ease.. Now Let Me Drop Some Mo A Them Keys" - Snoop - G'z And Hustlaz
See, He Mentions A Keyboard. LOL.. Not Quite What You're Looking For, Right?
-
I kinda got one, "Roger's Groove" by Quik. Quik sings/raps about the talk box and Roger Troutman...I think it's pretty dope.
-
i got one from Warren G.
On "gangsta love" he mentions his "YUKON" (GMC car), somethin like
"with my Yukon i puke on the rest of these niggas"
or somethin like that
-
only song i can think of right now is afro puffs
"when i hear the 808 bass , boom, bam, god damn"
-
How about this?
Vanilla Ice:
"The 808 kick drum, make the girlies get dumb"
Ice was a master with words, and this is a perfect example of his manipulation of the english language.
