Title: Connection Issues With Azureus?
Post by: Twentytwofifty on November 07, 2007, 07:36:17 AM
Every time I open up Azureus my internet connection drops, when I close the program it's fine again.  Is there anywhere in the settings to fix this?

Use NetLimiter (http://www.download.com/3120-20_4-0.html?tg=dl-20&qt=netlimiter&tag=srch) or similar software to control the upload speed of P2P & BitTorrent Programs..

If your upload speed maxes out, it will choke your download speed.

It fucks everything up as soon as I open it without anything uploading or downloading.  It actually kills my internet on my desktop too (Azureus is on my laptop).

I tried using NetLimiter anyways, didn't help.

most broadband routers arent built with torrents in mind. torrents can potentially open up thousands of connections for one file which in reality kills most broadband routers .. if you bought some cheap router then this is probably the problem you're having
