My friend played a snippet of a lil' wayne track called "outstanding" produced by dr. dre. I only heard the intro, the beat sounds nice. does anybody kno about the song?

I don't know how rappers are doing things now days, but there's too much confusion as to who produced what beat. I mean, even G-Unit had songs that they thought were produced by Dre that weren't ("Disco Inferno", "Live By the Gun", etc).

thats the only reason why people labled it a Dre beat.. everyone now tries to get those crisp drums that Dre has. Which causes a lot of confusion.

Dre can put anyone on Detox - doesn't bother me. I already know he's not gonna let some weak leftover garbage on the album (like Kanye with "Barry Bonds"). Besides that, at this point I just want the fuckin album to come out, I wouldn't give a damn if Ashlee Simpson was on it.

Its not like when DJ's tag songs as "produced by Dr. Dre". Now its the artist claiming to have Dre beats.
