What i realy love about snoop also, if this single dont get succesful he just go back to the OG old snoop..
-
the funniest thing on this is that it is charted on "Hot Rap Tracks" lol. I'm not hating the song but it's really no rap track ;D
Or was "Buttons" by the Pussy Cat Doll's a hot rap track too? ???

-

""LOL'..C'mon Now Snoop..wot is This???

Not for nothing, but is it really such a crime that after what... 15 years in the game, Snoop tries something different? Just something to think about...

Most fans don't want change, and in Snoop's case they definitely don't want this much change. I don't know, when he does try something new it seems like it is a gimmick at times. Drop It Like It's Hot is a exception though, because that was COMPLETELY out of left field for him and he made it a smash hit. This song, I could see it getting some success but I don't think he will convert any new fans from it. This song is PERFECT for the strip clubs though.

what i dont get is that Snoop been singing on Records since a long ass time...but they act surprised now...check "Back up Hoe", Leave Me Alone, Crampin my Steez, and lots of other tracks, he been singing for a while, and That song could have the same impact as "I WANNA FUCK YOU"

I think people are upset about the singing but more so the T-Pain influence it has on it.
-
Not a fan myself, but I can see WHY he done it. Think about it.....new sound is evolving......T-pain/Akon type tracks are whats hot, so he heading iin that direction for the single. The only point for singles is so people buy they albums.....not necessarily your fav track. His album most likely will have some heaters....I have enjoyed all his albums....even the latest ones...
My point is you don't be successful, or have longevity in the game by making the same ol shit. You have to re-invent yourself to survive and be successful in the game...so really it
s a smart business move.
Just a point to think about.

No doubt man, on point. Hard pill for most to take but Snoop like you said constantly re invents himself.

Apparently the video will have a 70's theme to it! hmmm!

i'm as big a snoop fan as the next but does it bother anyone else that all of the songs you just named range from garbage to mediocre at best?

yeah following Tpain not a good look for Snoop don't understand this song at all :-\

Here's a quote from a rep at Geffen:
Another thing is that people should know that snoop has a great love for old school music and this new song isn’t him trying to be like T-Pain, it’s more of a tribute to the originators Zapp and Roger and people will see that when they see the new video.

If That Was the case or intention, he should have gotten a Talk box...
But I'm awaiting the Video!!
I know snoop is a Big Fan or Oldies!!!!
props on the Info Nima..

songs like 'be alright' from zapp and roger i think exemplify that the group was about way more than just the talk box.

I kinda dig the song, Snoop basically can't win sometimes he makes the Blue Carpet Treatment mostly a gangsta album and people are like what is this 35 year old dude talking about gangbanging and now he makes a song which basically is for the ladies and he gets accused of biting T-pain? like T-pain has ever done anything, Snoop is going to do what Snoop wants to in this point in his career I still enjoy his music
