Title: Dogg Pound 2002 - Quick Review
Post by: Mr_Loc on July 07, 2001, 01:30:41 PM
just peeped this on WC Killaz (good lookin out folks!) and heres a lil track-by-track review in case your thinking of buying or downloading

Intro - some crappy computer voice (stephen hawking style) saying dogg pound, then just daz rapping over some scratching

Roll Wit Us - Pretty tight remix of the DOPE original, this one has an extra verse by kurupt.

Just Doggin Remix - Not bad, nothing special, really doesnt sound like Dre production at all, more like Hutch

Smoke - Very dope beat, kurupt and snoop have tight verses then the Relativez are obviously cut and pasted in (i think instead of soopafly). i like the relativez but they suck on this and ruin a good song

Gangsta Rap - pretty tight, dazs verse is the same as the one on change the game. crooked i is dope, beat is average

10 til midnight - recycled kurupt raps (from the song DPG). SKG is very wack, nothing original at all. the hook is VERY annoying

Gangsta Life - remix of the other one, not very good. weird shit is they got Big C-Style on the intro dissin Snoop calling him snitch. guess he switched sides, bitch.

Dont Stop - same as the bootleg version. tight track.

Change The Game - same as before, everyones heard this

Crip Wit Us - same as dipp wit me but its 'crip wit me'. apart from that its practically identical, the beat is verrry slightly different

What Cha About - Kurupts verses from Tremendous Odds (and Brownsville 2 LB) over a boring beat. crap.

Your Gyrlfriend - same as the one on RAW

Feels Good - same again

Way Too Often - same as the one on soopaflys album.

All About That Money - same again, getting bored

Every single Day - tight, practically the same as the original bootleg song, some extra production. snoop comes very heated on this

dont buy this

Does anyone know if  Every Single Day is good quality  cdq?

or is it  the bad radio quality?

yeah other than a few tracks on this album, this album is not even worth listening too.

suge is bullshit and is a big dumbass, this album proves it

You gotta remember, this might have been recorded during the Daz & Snoop beef, doesn't mean Big Style switched. We have to wait & see

You sure it wasnt Lil Style, coz his the one with the beef with Snoop

What the fuck? I could have put a better album together. They still got fucking DJ Clue shouting over the Change the Game Remix, sounds like they taped it off the radio and put some tatty sound sample at the start.

yup im positive. For one he sounds exactly like the guy who did the intro on the 19th street LBC compilation (which was Big C), and secondly he said this is Big C-Style which kind of gave it away.

so argue with that jay  ;) j/k

Do'nt Feel Bad, When Suge Was Questioned About Snoop's Album, He Said It WasUp To Help Sales.

We're Just Helpin' Sales! Distribute At Will! Thanks, Uncle Suge.

Anyways, That's Probably Old Big C Style Vocals, From When Snoop And Him Were Beefin (AlongWith Daz).  I Knew They'd Try That, We All Talked About It.

BTW, I Ain't Even Listened ToThe Album Yet, Even Though We Got The Whole Thing Up, LOL.

yeah, i put a topic up like that a month ago, about how Death Row could splity the DPGC with old songs dissing each other.

But if you remmeber about a month ago Death Row put up this police snitch Snoop thing without C-Style, now they added it. Maybe C Style is still down wit suge.

only a couple songz on tha CD sound good from tha review.  "Change The Game (remix)" has DJ Clue yellin cuz he alwayz sayz summin on a song he produces,  juss like he did on Mariah Carey's 'Rainbow', which ever songz he produced.
