Title: The Wash - Come On Yall, What Cha Think?
Post by: Trauma-san on July 08, 2001, 06:17:28 AM
What's Everybody Thinkin' About THe Wash? I THink This Is Gonna Be Classic, Legendary Stuff Goin' Down Here.

The Biggest Thing For Me Is Dre Says Him And Snoop Are Doing 3-5 Tracks Together For The Soundtrack.  Wow!  Think About It, Here's The Last Few Tracks We've Heard From Them:

Newest To Oldest:

"Lay Low" - Tight Song, Tight Beat, Nuff Said.  4.5 Outta 5

"Henn And Buddah" - Straight Dre Production, With Only Snoop (And Kokane On THe Hook) Rapping. AWESOME Song.  4.5 Outta 5, I Think.  Classic Stuff

"Last Meal Intro" - Just An Intro, But It's Snoop Solo, With Dre Producing.  Nicely Done, Nice Sample, Snoop's Voice Sounds Great, Good Stuff.

"Bitch Please 2" - Amazing Song, Tight All Around, One Of Dre's Best Verses Ever - "Some Of These Niggaz Slim Draws Are As Rowdy As Crenshaw Blvd. When It's Packed And Full A Cars... Some Of These Niggaz Me And Snoop Draws IS Niggaz From Crenshaw, Long Beach And South Central!" - Amazing Line, Fuck Whoever Doesn't Agree, lol.  Tight Beat, Nate Dogg Is Outta Sight On THis One, This Is One Of Eminem's Great Humourous Raps (He Has A Few, It's WhenHe's His Best), Xzibit Disses THe Hell Outta Prodigy (I'm The Head Nigga In Charge...Then Says Your Lil' Lungs Is Too Small To Hot Box Wit God")  Awesome song, 5 Outta 5

"Bitch Niggaz" - Great Track, Snoop Is Dead On, Tight verses.  Hittman Appears OnThe Track, But On The Wash Soundtrack, I Think It's Just Gonna BeSnoop And Dre.  Dre's Verse IsGreat Too On This One.  Awesome Beat, Snoop Sounds Great. 4.5 Outta 5

"The Next Episode" - ANOTHERGreat Track, Party Type.  Great Verses By Dre, A WAYYYY Above Average Verse By Snoop, Tight Ass Beat,And An Awesome Nate Dogg Appearance.  4.5 Outta 5

"Still Dre" - Great Song, Dre Flows Nice, Great Trend Setting Beat, Ahead Of TheTimes.  Snoop And Dre Flow Back ANd Forth, Great chemistry, Great Hook By Snoop, Great Song.  4.5 Outta 5

"Fuck You" - Another Great One, Great Beat, Good Flow And Voice And Lyrics By Snoop, Dre's Verse Is Pretty Good.  At The End, Snoop Says "24-7, Dre Snoop And Devin" Which Is One Of My Favorite Lines On The Whole Cd (Even THough It's Simple), Devin The Dude Is Amazing On THis Song...4.5 Outta 5, Again.

"Jus Dippin' - Tight Song, Dre's Verse Is Nice... Snoop Starts It Off With "Fall Down, Cuz Dr. Dre Done Fell Back N' Tha House Wit Tha Pound!" Nice Reunion Track, 4 Outta 5

"Bitch Please" - Dre Produced, With Snoop All Over It, And Xzibit, And Nate.  Classic Westcoast Song, 4.5 Outta 5

"Buck 'Em" - Nice Beat, Put Sticky Back In The Game,  Good Vocals From Snoop, 4 Outta 5

So,WithThis Wash Soundtrack,That's What We Got To Look Forward To,Yall.  I'm PUMPED For ThisCrap.  Ain't It Comin' Out In Like September? It's Gonna Be Straight HEATTTTTTT.

Man, you overate songs. No offence, but its exactly what ruined the Source, overating albums. If you overate songs you get to many 5 mic or near 5 mic songs. They should be extra special ratings to special songs, not given out to every GOOD song out.

anyway its your choice, just stating my opinions

Also, I loved Just Dippin above any of those songs there, even  B Please. Funny thing is thats one of your low rated songs here. we got opposite tastes I think

heres my rating
Newest To Oldest:

"Lay Low" - Snoop comes good on this & the beat is good, but it isnt one of Dre's best. Still good thou 3.5 out of 5

"Henn And Buddah" - Aight, I think Snoop comes not so good on this except a few lines which he raps fast. Beat is decent, nothing classic thou. 3 out of 5

"Last Meal Intro" - It suits the album, but it really isnt a song so i aint gonna rate it

"Bitch Please 2" - Good song, thou its not as hard hitting as the first one 4 out of 5

"Bitch Niggaz" - Snoop is so laid back on this so that takes away from it. Beats cool thou. & it reminds me of Dre2001 message board :) 3.5 out of 5

"The Next Episode" - Snoop comes aight on this, but i love the original so much more. The beat is nice thou. 4 out of 5

"Still Dre" - Snoop really doesnt rhyme in it, just does the hook. But this song has a simple beat but the actually drum beat & bass is great. Plus Dre's rhyme written by Jay Z really details a comeback track for Dre. 4.5 out of 5

"Fuck You" - Snoop is good on this one. Good fuck song & made funky beat. 4.5 out of 5

"Jus Dippin' - Love this song. Jewelle is amazing in this. I wish she was still around. 4.5 out of 5

"Bitch Please" - Dre Produced, With Snoop All Over It, And Xzibit, And Nate.  Classic Westcoast Song. 4.5 out of 5

"Buck 'Em" - Nice Beat & Snoop comes good on this. A shame the song is a halfass 2 minute song. 3.5 out of 5

Call me harsh or not, but thats just me. Then again you can paint me green & call me Gumby (???, that made no sense, I say something to confuse yall, lol)

Engies, Henn and Buddah is at least a 4.5...that's the best Snoop has sounded since joining No Limit...The beat is off the hizzle too....I agree about Lay Low, the beat isn't Dre's greatest...And Buck Em is definitely 4.5 material, you can't subtract mics cause the song is short....I agree with Next Episode, it can't touch the original...

Dre said he wanted the Wash soundtrack to be the reunion album for Dre and Snoop, but time schedules are too busy for both. I can't say the movie will be classic ish, but the soundtrack might.
Ya KNOW!

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this but since there is/was a rumore goin around that the second single off of "Duces & Trays" will be laced by Dre.  I think this makes sense because Snoop did say that the video for "Lay Low" would be continued with an Eastsidaz single...I think it makes PERFECT sense for it to be another D-R-E track.

since i am the Rating God from west side mt. olympus this is how i rate the last few dre snoop songs

Lay Low-i don't know why people hate on the beat i think it's unbelievable , snoop and co. comes off NICE...shit even master p, i give it a 4.5

True Lies-i think the intro really takes away from the song cuz clintons vocal is all scrambly but the beat is AMAZING snoop's all laid back i can live with that but kokane kinda fucks it up ....3.5

henn and buddah- i didn't like this song at all when it first came out but now it's one of my favorite on the album , nice nice dre beat, snoop comes GREAT on here....4 outta 5

bitch niggaz- it starts off increadable and would get a higher rating if it was just dre and snoop but the other artists fuck it up...4 outta 5

still dre- Genius pure pure Genius the beat is amazing i love it , and for the record though jay-z wrote the original verses to it but the only verse that survived from jay was the first one. d.o.c wrote the rest with snoop, overall though i can't find a flaw in this whole song..classic 5

fuck you- every one comes off nice but the lady in the begining fucks up the song and dre's verse isn't all that but it's cool, 4 outta 5

just dippin'-this songs beat is tight but i ain't really feelin' it all THAT much dre sounds fuckin' weird and jewell's voice annoys me now...3 outta 5

Bitch Please....classic 5 that's all that needs to be said

Buck em'--great track with sticky fingaz but it's kidna short ...4 outta 5

....and that's how it is
