Am i the only 1 who thinks its dumb that Dre is making an album that supposely can't be played on a normal cd player ??? >:( I mean i like many other people will not run out to get a new sound system just to play one album ! I know u'all are saying well all the albums of the future will be like this .... but still i only like rap meaning that i only get a few albums a year ... and i don't think they 'll all follow dre immediatly .... I think he should release a normal version and the special sound version so that people that don't have this special sound system can get the album 2. What does everyone esle think ???

Dre is amzing if he want to change the way of rap or hip hop then he will do it. maybe sum ppl wont buy the new system to run his music on but some will and dre knows that the 1's that do will get a whole new expreicne in music.

and its still cool he releasing regular album too so some people that dont want it like that can get it in regular format

ummmm.. people.. dre doesnt even know what format he's gunna release it in yet.. proly has no clue because there is no standard yet... so stop tripping... and by the time this album comes out i doubt any of this is gunna be a concern so worry bout it when its a lil closer to the release date (as in within a year of when the good doctor says its gunna come out)

see the good thing about this is you know dre takes a while to make a cd right....and he hasn't even started working on it yet...so start a a seperate savings account in the bank and put in some money lil by lil then by the time the record actual comes out get it

even though i posted a detailed thread on this a few weeks ago i'll clarify it again. detox will be released on the regular cd fomat. nothing will change this. so if you don't have dvd-audio or sacd it won't matter. you will still be able to buy and enjoy detox like you do right now with any cd that comes out. if you are lucky enough to have the 5.1 sound of dvd-audio or sacd then you will be able to buy that version of detox and enjoy the mind numbing sound of 5.1. and like FC said dre doesn't know which format it will be released on yet. it depends upon what format universal embraces. they are signed up for dvd-audio (but have yet to release hardly any dvd-audio discs yet), but not sacd. but i would think that by the time the album comes out that both formats will have been embraced by universal.
so no matter if you have regular cd players or sacd or dvd-audio players you will be able to buy detox and enjoy it in on whatever format you have. if you want more information on this topic peep my thread called "dre, detox and the revolutionary 5.1 sound". and later today i'll post another thread detailing how dre will use the 5.1 sound on detox and other albums. peace.
