You know when you put your mouse over a program running in the task bar and it shows a thumbnail? Well what i've noticed is that the shit is hella small. Someone told me about this program that let's you fuck with the resolution of the thumbnails to make them bigger (and legible finally). Here's what it looks like on my PC:

nice i allso have vista but for some reason when i go over to a program running in the task bar and it shows a thumbnail it dosent show it like yours well it did but one day it just stoped do u know how to turn it back on iam thinking it just got turned off

damn that's pretty sly. I have vista, but mine doesn't have a thumbnail pop up at all when I go over any programs in the taskbar. Any idea how I get this option to come on?

I think you guys might have it disabled. Run a google search to find out how to re-enable it.

My "Show window previews (thumbnails)" is not checked and it is greyed out what the fuck help

Here's one solution i've read. Try this:
I suspect you have added toolbars to the taskbar - media player, itunes etc? It is some of these things that cause this behaviour and a very important note to everyone as it is very easy to get frustrated by this, try searching for a resolution!
Simply right click on the taskbar and select toolbars, now remove each entry one by one until the glass effect returns, you now know which one is causing this and to leave it switched off.
I'm guessing this is because apps such as itunes for example have not been tested fully with Vista yet, when it goes fully public I suspect many people will suffer with this and eventually apps will handle the glass effects better. For now however, if you want the taskbar to have the same effect as your windows, leave the toolbars off, at least the problematic ones!

fuck didnt work i turned them all off i mean when i first got vista it worked then all the sudden it stoped maybe becuz i use firefox ??????

I use firefox and they still work. What is your setup like how fast is your processor, video card, and ram?
