Title: England fans are the worst in the world...
Post by: Sweet & Tender Hooligan on November 21, 2007, 07:00:22 PM
They really are by the way, bar none. NOt even mentoning the racists in their support, or the fact they cant go to another country without rioting with someone but today really just summed it up.

2 - 0 down in the last game of qualifying, with only a point needed to qualify. At halftime what do the suport do? Get behind their team like never before, will them back into the game with their passionate singing and unwavering support? Become the 12th man? (If never been witnessed before, see Hampen park at about 545 on saturday)

Do they fuck.

They boo and jeer their team, flip them off as they leave the park, shout at obsceneties at their players. NIce work!

England dont deserve to get to Euro 2008, their team is shite and there cretinous fans worse. Blame the manager all you like, but a team with players including John Terry, Rio Ferdinand, Steven Gerrard, Ashley Cole, Frank Lampard, Wayne Rooney, David Beckham, SWP etc etc HAVE TO finish ahead of Russia and Croatia. Jesus, they should be beating any team in the world.

Whats there excuse this time?

Englands staying home, and the rest of Europe couldnt be happier.

the difference between england and scotland is that england fans stupidly believe that they have a given right to qualify and when it dont happen they turn on the team. Scotland on the other hand hope to qualify and the fans get behind the team to increase that possibilty.

Yup. And i wasnt talking about the English people on this board by the way, the majority of whom are fair minded, intelligent people.

To be fair, our fans at the game did get behind the team at the start of the second half and played a big part in us getting back to 2-2. They are perfectly entitled to boo at the end of the first half and at full time, as they have paid to see an England team put in a performance and it hasn't been forthcoming.

I also don't believe for a second that our fans are the worst in the world, every nation gets on the back of their team if they are not performing well. For instance, Brazilian fans booed their side despite beating Uruguay 2-1 this week, because the performance was not what they expected from the team. They also constantly booed Ronaldinho and Robinho as they had bad games and that wasn't considered good enough.

Even Scotland fans did the same under Berti Vogts when they would struggle to beat some European minnows at home, so this is certainly not something that is exclusive to England supporters.

wrong scotland fans werent against the players and always got behing the eleven men on the park, at tht time it was the manager and the sfa tht we were pissed about

good summary

If you pay 65 pound for a ticket to watch shite, then you can boo whoever you like, simple as.

also true, if u pay to watch u should be able to express how u feel but goin against your team doesnt work
