Wyclef's brand-new studio album 'Carnival Vol II : Memoirs of An Immigrant' is a
continuation of 'Carnival' (an earlier album). As always his focus is on the
song-writing. On his new album, Wyclef called upon his friends from an
extraordinary list of artists including Paul Simon, Mary J. Blige, T.I., Norah
Jones, Akon, Serj Tankian (of System Of A Down), Lil' Wayne, and Shakira, to
name a few. Once again, Wyclef collaborates on production with his long-time
production partner, Jerry Duplessis, whom he has worked with since the beginning
of the Fugees.

Not quite. Its got more of an ethnic feel to it than the first Carnival which had more of an actual hip hop sound. Not that its bad because this shits on most albums in that category released this year.

I'm really feeling this album. I feel this is one of the best releases to come out this year. "Riot" is crazy & "Sweetest Bill" is infectious. Same with "Hollywood to Bollywood" & "Touch Your Button Carnival Jam". "Hollywood to Bollywood" sounds tight to me the way it is on here, but anyone got a CDQ of "Run"?
