I'd say.....
1. Kobe Bryant
2. Allen Iverson (I would pick him 2nd because his prime was much longer and he hit his earlier than Nash)
3. Steve Nash
4. Jermaine O'Neal
5. Ray Allen
6. Shareef Abdur-Rahim
7. Antoine Walker
8. Peja (Pedrag) Stojakovic
9. Ben Wallace
10. Zydrunas Illgauskus
11. Stephon Marbury
12. Marcus Camby
13. Derek Fisher
14. Erick Dampier
...I didn't do any research or even look at career stats...that's just from the top of my head. If I did that, I'm sure I'd change that up some.

Here is how I would draft 1-5 if this was today.
1. Kobe Bryant
2. Allen Iverson
3. Steve Nash
4. Jermaine O'Neal
5. Ray Allen

If Kobe had AI's team's and if Iverson had Shaq all those years then I am sure we might be flipping around the #1 and #2

3.Steve Nash
4.Jermaine O'Neal
5.Ray Allen
6.Marcus Camby
7.Ben Wallace

9.Peja Stojakavic
10.Stephon Marbury
11.Shareef Abdur-Rahim
12.Derek Fisher
13.Antoine Walker
14.Erick Dampier

Bryant wouldnt got earlier in my book because that arrogant fag only wanted to play for the Lakers. So the TOP 5 is right on in my book. Shareef and Marbury obviously fell the fuck off but in the beginning they were nice as fuck.

1. Kobe
2. Nash
3. Iverson

5. Allen
6. Marbury
7. Wallace

I donno....I mean, Iverson's prime was earlier because he was two years older. In 98, the main argument was "Iverson vs. Marbury", and it didn't turn into "Iverson vs. Kobe" until 2001. By the time 2003 hit, it was either "Kobe vs. McGrady" or "Kobe vs. Jordan"...and three and four years later, all you heard was "Kobe vs. Jordan". Iverson could almost be considered in his prime...but Kobe's prime is definitely looking stronger at this point than Iverson's was.
In 98, I would have definitely took Iverson, and maybe even Eddie Jones over Kobe...but once he got older, it was like WTF is really happenin?

Anyone who mentions Kobe and Iverson in the same breath is insane...PeACe

kobe is no doubt the better all around player but AI is still a great player. its a shame he had to go through all those horrible philly teams.
-
AI is great, but he's not a GOAT status player, like Kobe is.
-
damn that was a deep ass draft. fuckin warriors with todd fuller lmao

LMAO...I still remember that day. Me and my dad had season tickets in 96, and we used to hate Vlade because he was just so damn soft. He would be wide open and do a layup, LMAO.
So the day I got back from Vegas in June of 96, I was readin the paper to see about the draft. I saw that we drafted some PG from Arkansas named Derek Fisher that I wasn't familiar with, and we traded Vlade for some kid straight from high school named Kobe Bryant. I was like damn...I don't know who dude is, but I'm just happy as hell we got rid of Vlade!!
And a few weeks later, we got Shaq...so I was the happiest fan ever.

NIK no offense, ya know I like ya but werent you 6 years old in 1996?
-
I remember that draft, it was a great class and the backbone for the Laker's title run.
I remember being really excited we traded Vlade for Kobe, and though I had no idea who Fisher was, I thought if West drafted him then I will go with it. Under looked for Laker fans was Peeler and George Lynch being traded for nothing basically to the Grizzlies. This cleared cap space to sign Shaq. Even though the Lakers had a good year in 95-96, West gutted the bench and the line up after the draft was
PG - Van Exel, Fisher
SG - Jones, Kobe
SF - Ceballos
PF - Campbell
C - Corie Blount
West bet the whole franchise to sign Shaq. A great class, and a great draft for the Lakers.

You can't be this dumb. If I'm 20 years old, how was I 6 in 1996?
