dude back in the days bone was considered west coast ain't no if ands or buts about it and tha cross roads wasn't even half as big as "walk this way by areosmith and run dmc" or "king of rock" by run dmc again or fight the power by public enenmy  or nuthin but a g thang, or gin and juice....

anyways my vote for the best non west coast classic by a single artist is....

Tha Crossroads wasnt half as big as those songs? What the fuck!?!?!?! The Crossroads was bigger than ALL of those songs COMBINED. Crossroads broke BEATLES records, and its the only rap song that can make that claim. The fact alone automatically makes it the biggest hit in hip hop history. Plus, the single went tripple platinum and helped win E.1999 Eternal a grammy award.

I know you dont like Bone much but to say Crossroads isnt as big as those song shows you're in straight denial. That song was HUGE, I dont think you realize how huge it was.........

Nope, Tha Crossroads was. Im not saying its the best ever, but when it comes to numbers and stats, its UNDENIABLY the biggest rap hit ever. Its the only rap song to break a Beatles record. Breaking a Beatles record is VERY major, lol, to say the least.

Personally, I think Dayz Of Our Livez might be a better song, but there is no question that Crossroads is a bigger song, and probably the biggest seen to date in the history of hip hop.

As a matter of fact, that song was SOOOO big that it put a burden on Bone's shoulders and it made people have too high of expecations for them.

lol i never siad it didn't sell alot but just becuase it sold alot doesn't make it the best song in rap history.....i mean for christ sakes when rollingstone, spin, and prodominatly rock publications put nuthin' but a g thang over singles like smells like teens spirit and jeremy (which i think are more influencial) that's what makes a song big

anyways you got it wrong i do like bone or i use to but your overhyping them
