The website 2Untouchable.com has reported that the Makaveli & Dillinger album will not be released. Apparently, the Shakur Estate owns these tracks and will take legal action in order to stop this EP from coming out.

"Just when some people were making plans to buy one of the most anticipated album of 2001 around the holidays, we can now confirm thanks to our sources @ the Shakur Estate that the EP "Don't Go 2 Sleep" which Daz Dillinger was hoping would see a December release will NOT be allowed to be released & the Shakur Estate will instigate legal proceedings if necessary. When we asked them about the release of the album, their response was "It is not coming out....we own those tracks."

well if Afeni takes all of those tracks, takes Daz off, gets the cheapest possible engineer to mix them, and changes the whole song like she usually does, I'll be very unhappy.
Pac recorded those tracks with Daz, he has more rights than anyone to release them, especially as he produced them.
i understand afeni not wanting people to eat off Pac but damn i dont want HER to be in charge of every release with Pac on it cuz lets face it, she knows nada about music.

It proberly wont work but we should send shit to amaru to show we are pissed afeni is fuckin up Pac's music. We need to show somehow we aint happy with what see is doing to his music look what see did to the songs friends an when thugs cry, she ruined an there are many more

Damn right. She's fuckin up all songs she gets her hands on. I don't know the original "When Thugs Cry" but the UTEOT version sucked badly. She should just sit back, relax, get the cash from the album sales and leave the music part to peeps who know somethin about it. D'OH!!!

I got the original When Thugz Cry and its deep. The one on UTEOT means nuthin. It's comin out though. Someone will spend $500 on it.
