Title: Master P
Post by: Top321 on June 28, 2001, 06:03:30 PM
Master P and No Limit are on fire.  People can hate all they want but P is bringin that fire in the '01.  Look at No Limit's talent..

Master P
Silkk
C-Murder
Magic
Krazy
Romeo

Plus P has tons of new talent that he debuted on the Gold selling "Ghetto Postage".  And the tank rolls on....

I used to like No Limit... I thought "Ghetto D" was tight... I got C-Murder's Bossalini too...

But now, they're just annoying..... they bite EVERYONE.. it's funny cuz they actually played themselves out..... Master P shoes, Master P dolls, Master P Jerseys, No Limit cartoons..... as Snoop would say "you're doin to much"

I used to bump No Limit shit.95-98....when it was "RAW"
Back when Master P had that "Spice-1", Scarface type (Wanabee) flow....remember that shit..

"The ghetto trying to kill me"
"99 ways to die"...
"TRU"
"West coast badboys"
"Ice Cream man"
Ect..........

Anyway's No Limit played themselves every year after the Bout' it soundtrack.....in my opinion.....They would try and carbon copy any sound that was hot at the time....

Here is my Master P Bitter timeline....

Spice-1-Mid 90's
Scarface-"Icecream-man lp)
2pac & Biggie-"The last Don"
-
-thru
-
504 boys-Ca$h money
Ghetto postage-Ca$h money
& 'll predict that on his next solo joint...or the miller boys lp they will try and bite the "Nelly" (Wack as style) flow...

"Lil' Romeo will be the highest selling No Limit artist ever.................." I'll bet the entire tank on that.

LMAO @ anybody who uses Silkk and talent in the same sentence without the words 'lack of'

half that roster would be flippin burgers if they werent related to master p.

Don't think so, but it'd make sense. :)

I like P a lil bit, mostly for the beats(Souljas is BURNIN), but, well, he ain't that skilled...But he earnt his way out the ghetto, I respect him.

But, sorry, Romeo, Mystikal, Silkk, Krazy, Magic, all pretty much mediocre...C-Murder's got skill, but P don't use him right...

I like master P, i dont like all of his songs..but i dont expect him or any of his artist to break any new ground..they are in it to make money.....i can put some of there music on and bump the fuck out of it..and ride to it..or when i throw a party....some music out there is great..and should be held to a higher standard...but P and no limit may or may not change..he is makin money.......and makin hits.....he is southern...and no limit still sells well down south....i dont like everything they put out.....but some songs...get my head to nod...

I was feeling bout dat......
Peace Hambone

I'll give P 2 Things

1. Great Businessman
2. Has BALLS To Try To Play In The NBA, That Was Real.  He Don't Need The Money, But He Has Heart.

The Rest I Can't Stand About Him.

Did Master P actually ever play in the NBA? I never thought so, but th album cover of his compilation had him in a game wearing a Charlette Hornet jersey, and I heard he played in the NBA before somewere, but I doubt it...Anyone know the FULL story?

I Live In Charlotte

He Was Trying REALLY Hard To Play.  He Tried Out For The Hornets (That's How He Got The Jersey), And the News Made A Big Deal Over It.  He Did Pretty Good, But They Didn't Pick Him Up, They Cut Him.  He MAY Have Been Signed For A Week or So In The Summer, But I Don't Think So.  He Did Practice With The Team For Several Days, He's Alright.

I Saw Him In Concert Here (HEY! I Went to See Snoop...) And At The End, He Said That He Hoped to Be Playing For The Toronto Raptors Soon.  So, He Tried Out With Them Too, but Never Got Signed.

I Still Say He's Got Balls To Try It, He'd Take A Hellofa Pay Cut for It, But That's What He Wanted To Do, Hence The "Real" Label.  :)

He is also given opportunity to alot of peeps down south......

damn.......what did Suge Knight do?  besides jack people and have them killed....???

If he taught a class id take it....

I used to be a big No LImit fan.  From 96-early99, 70% of the music I bought was No Limit.  Beats By The Pound are one of the best production teams from the south.  No Limit dropped some real gems too.  I liked P's solo albums from 96, 97, and 98.  THe, in 1999, things changed.  While I felt all of the previous TRU albums, I thought the last one was okay.  The I bought Master P's Only God Can Judge Me.  I can't believe the utter wackness I heard.  Every No LImit album since then, besides Da 504 Boyz, has been crap.  I don't count Snoop because his sound isn't the No Limit sound.  No Limit has lost 80% of their roster.  Mystical, Snoop, Mr. Serv-ON, Kane & Able, and Fiend have all left for greener pastures.  The real loss is Beats By The Pound.  THey are now called The Medicine Men and their production is still in demand for a lot of southern rappers.  No Limit has became pure wackness.  Their sales have declined big time.  P went from 2x & 4x Platinum albums to barely going Gold.  His brothers went from Platinum to not even going Gold.  The only hope for his lable lies in the record sales of his 11 year old son.  That's sad.  I'm not going to hate on the man.  He's a successful businessman.  But maybe he should put his lable up for sale and concentrate on his other business ventures.
