Dout Gotcha! & Rome Team Up For Street Album - December 4, 2007 By : Eddie

After spending years on the Virginia Beach underground circuit, rapper Dout Gotcha! recently linked up with West Coast label B.Y.I. Entertainment, home of Omar Cruz and producer Rome. Once he jumped on board as part of the B.Y.I. movement, Dout paired up with Rome to craft a street album that would blow listeners out of the water. Rome ended up producing the entire album with the exception of only a couple of tracks. The result is a highly enjoyable project that allows Dout to show off his talent as an MC, and Rome to exhibit his diversity behind the boards.

We're here to blast out the project for free today, so please thank B.Y.I. Entertainment on their Myspace for consistently providing exceptional street albums at no cost. DJ Skee and Dow Jones host the project, and it's also worth noting that there are NO tags during the record. Hopefully more releases in the future will do it like this, because we still hear the "DJ SKEE" stuff, but it's at the end when the music is over. Props to Dout, Rome, and LuLu for this tight ass release!

Check out "Mo Money Mo Murder," an homage and tribute to "Mo Money Mo Problems" performed by The Notorious B.I.G. Rome took this already emo Mexican song and made it more emo with alley-saavy drums and street smart skills. D.G. is definitely getting my number. I'll add him on MySpace soon.

Btw: the video shoot for Omar's video to "I Hang With My Dogz" is going down today. It's being directed by Estevan Oriol. Anyone from Dubcnn going to attend this?
