2 years, $36 million
that's a lot of fuckin money especially for a guy that had a shitty average last year and struck out a lot
I'm not hating it though because he's one of the best on defense and he drives in runs and hits homers
as a fan, the positives are that they actually got someone new other than new coaches
also, this 2 year deal is a hell of a lot better and more comfortable to see then the reported 5 year, $90 million he was asking for
-
eh...we'll see how this one pans out.
-
I don't know about this one.
-
Not a very good dealings. That amazing how much a baseballs player make to play.
-
For 36 million I don't mind....
It's a lot better than that 90 Million bullshit that Scott Boras was asking for...
-
lmao, have fun with Andruw.
-
This will only have a positive effect if Pierre is gone. Otherwise, it's fucking stupid to have Pierre over Ethier in LF. I'm getting ready to have the worst LF in the history of baseball since the dead ball era.
-
hes a solid .220 hitter lmao

At least the Dodgers have the luxury thanks to their money and farm system to take a risk on a player for only 2 years to see if he can bounce back. We're not in the position like the A's, where the GM looks at his team and the competion and makes a decision on either being a seller or a buyer. Beane already made his decision, he'll be a seller.

at least it's a short deal if it don't work out

difference between Beane and your gm is that beane puts a better product out on the field while spending less money. lets count how many times the A's have gone to the playoffs in the last 15 years and how many times the dodgers have gone?

I could care less about our GM, I'm more excited about Logan White. Beane would love to have someone like Logan White on his front office.

i take it that u dont want to count up playoff appearances in the last 15 years? i wouldnt either if i were a dogder fan. anywayz good luck i hope andrew jones ressurects his career and hits 300 wit 30 hr's and 100 rbi's 8)

Like I said, I could care less about our GM. If DePodesta was the GM with Logan White as Assistant, we could have had already at least a Pennant.

We better not fuckin' trade Kemp or Andre!
-
^ they said they might include Kemp if the right deal comes up
with the signing of Jones they supposedly have too many outfielders
I don't think getting Jones is a gigantic impact but it's a big spot filled on D and in the middle of the lineup, gotta admit
