Can you confirm this story....
Did many years ago (5-10 years)
Fillippo Inzaghi score on the last day of the Scudetto to win the title from for Milan from Lazio, who at the time had Simone Inzaghi playing for them and who had also scored that day.
Another part of the story I was told that apparently it was their mother's birthday that night and obv there was a bit of tension, lol.
Can you confirm this or is it just nonsense?

Filippo Inzaghi joined Milan in 2001.
Milan won just 1 title from 2001, and it's the one of the 2003/04 season.
In that year, Inzaghi was injured for most of the time and he only scored 3 goals.
He didn't score against Lazio.
The final table of that year was:
Milan 82
Roma 71
Juventus 69
Inter 59
Parma 58
Lazio 56
So............ i guess it was a false rumor you heard. :)

Hey Antonio, I know u got a lot of knowledge about Italian football..:
How come there are no leagues for the reserves/b-teams?
-
Well, i'm italian, so.. :)
I don't know the reason, man. Basically we have no Team B/Reserves. Probably there's no reason at all for it, it's just old traditions, or the FIGC being too lazy to change the system. Anyway we have a sub-tournament called "Primavera" (litterally "Spring") where the major teams from Serie A and B have a team that partecipates to it and this team can have players from 15 years old to 20. It's a tournament for the youngsters. There are Juventus Primavera, Inter Primavera, Milan Primavera, etc.. (almost them all from Serie A, B and some from Serie C too). After that, those players finish in a minor team (most of the time on loan or in co-ownership), or they are aggregated to the main team playing with the "big" players.

Could it be possible he was playing for Juve at the time?

He has won just 1 title with Juventus too, and we didn't win that title by defeating Lazio (Lazio arrived 7th that season). So.. no.
One curious thing is that both Filippo and Simone Inzaghi has played a game for Italia, together. Just 1, but it's still a nice thing. :)

Yeah, i aways wondered whether they were brothers or cousins or what. A good tip is in all the old championship managers up until about 2003, they are an excellent strikeforce when playing together.
My take on the whole "N0 reserve league" thing, is that it is atually quite a good idea, as by the time a youngster 18 - 22 is ready to play for the national team, they already have 100+ games for thier club side, you never hear of an unknown getting thrown into the Italian team.

Yeah, but the players who's on the bench, not even on the bench or coming back from injury gets good matching before returning to the main squad..

True. We usually use the Italian Cup as a minor competition. Nobody cares about it, so big teams uses players coming back from injuries or reserves.
Juventus just lost 2-1 with Empoli, in the Italian Cup, and they had just 1 starter. It's like that. It's a shame tho, cause they totally ignore the National Cup.
I know there in the UK you fucking love it.
