Got traded....i know the Kobe trade talk has died down but for curiosity's sake how would the Laker fans feel? would you still rep your team to the fullest? would you still be a kobe fan? wear a kobe bulls(whoever) jersey? This goes for any player on any team for any sport.

depends how the player went out
for example i am a die-hard tennessee titans fan. Mcnair was my favourite player therefore in the NFL (til vy10 got drafted). Mcnair handled the whole situation with his contract really well, and the titans didn't.
he's now in baltimore, and has never said anything bad about how we handled the situation (and if he did, he'd be right). I still rep him to the fullest, and would love to see him win a super bowl over there. The only time i don't wanna see him win is when he's up against the titans.
Now a player like Vince Carter who handled his departure in toronto about as bad as possible, gets a nice "fuck you" :P

good question...
I'm a HUGE allen iverson fan. so i am OBV. a 76ers fan...but since he went to the nuggets, i havent been behind the sixers so much...altho iggy is ALWAYS fun to watch! i think i just need some time, and ill be back rootin for my team 8)

I'd be hella pissed in that scenario but I'd still be a fan of both my team and my favorite player (ie: I'd be a Lakers fan and a Kobe fan but not a Bulls fan...although I'd still want him to win more rings regardless of who he's with).

The moment I came out of my momma I was born a Laker .....so of course I will rep my team no matter who or what plays for them... However if Kobe left I would still be a fan of his. I can't forget the championships. I even still have my Shaq jersey and I know that one day his jersey will be hanging from The Stapes Center along with Wilt's, Kareem's, Magic and the rest of them.

magic was my favorite player growing up , then he retired and it became shaq since 93'. now he's old and you dont' see heat games really so it's 'melo now. not to say i like the nuggets or anything cuz i really don't like them, but 'melo is my favorite now.
the only time my favorite player played on my favorite team was when magic was still playing and when shaq played for the lakers.

I will always rep my favorite team regardless if they traded my favorite player. As for the player himslef, if he handled the situation properly, I'd still support him. If he handles it poorly (like Shaq or Vince Carter) then to hell with them.

Eddie Jones was my fav player.
West traded him.
I almost cried for a week.
Then i started to support Kobe.

I 'm a die hard fan of the Los Angeles Lakers .. of course I like Kobe game but as others players he will stop playing B-Ball one day .. I don't root for players but for teams , especially nowadays 90% of players have no love for the jersey they wear and the organization they rep .. I miss the times a athlete played all his carreer in one single team .. now dudes got traded like they don't care

Yeah it depends how, wehn m favorite player got traded from The Montreal Canadiens i knew he had to go for the sake of the team so i wasent mad at either and i continued to support both the team and the player with his enw one.
With that said if the traded my new favorite player now i owuld be pissed because he his a young player with tons of upside and a local kid so i would probably stop watching the team for a while.

My favorite players have came to my teams. Before Shaq was a Laker, I watched the Magic play, but it was still Lakers. When the Magic played the Lakers, I rooted for the Lakers, and once Shaq got traded I actually watched Shaq less that when he was a Magic. I am, and will always be a Lakers fan, no player can ever change that.
With the Raiders, my favorite player in the NFL was Randy Moss. Since I live in MN now, that was all good until he got traded to the Raiders which made everything so bad for both sides. Now that his with the Patriots, lets just say I love Moss, but my hatred for the Pats is worst.
I support my teams, if my favorite player comes on board, that's great, but it's Lakers, Raiders, Angels all day everyday.

I'm a Laker fan...I support the players that play for my team. If Kobe got traded, he would be just another player on another team. He'd still be the best in the league, no doubt, but I don't root for other players on other teams. Especially when they willingly left...Shits fucked up...PeACe

I would still pull for that player but my team always comes first no matter what.
