Snoop Dogg has said he wants to cover a Johnny Clash track for his next album.
He reportedly said: “I'm still trying to find a Johnny Cash [song] I can have fun with. To me, Johnny Cash is a rapper.” Really Snoop?
“His s**t was dope, a lot of rappers don't know that. Cash's song A Boy Named Sue sounds gangster.” Gangster?
The What’s My Name man- fresh from his EMA job- is currently putting the finishing touches to his new album Ego Trippin’.
His genius new single Sensual Seduction (sexual eruption) is out in January.

Sounds to me like Egio Trippin has some serious potential to be a dope album. I hope Snoop delivers.

This will definitely be a little different. Snoop has always done good covers of rappers hits (Rakim, Slick Rick, NWA, etc) but if he does decide to do a Cash song, keep it somewhat original with a twist and Snoop adds his own vibe to it. Johnny Cash also remade a Nine Inch Nails song.

fucc snoop gods gonna cut em down

the cover he did for Riders on the Storm was REAL dope, hopefully it turns out the same way.

I don't doubt you... I want to hear that myself. I think something like that could be very creative, especially if someone like Rick Rubin was involved.
