Title: How will Caltroit (untagged) be released?
Post by: Lord Funk on January 05, 2008, 04:19:26 AM
Just a quick query that someone on the DubCNN staff might be able to answer.

I've only just got round to listening to Caltroit (at this rate I'll be bumping Pope Mobile sometime in the summer), but would much prefer to have a version without the DJ mixing and proper mastering. I know the version that was up on DubCNN has been taken down at the artists' request and wondered how they plan to release it?

In the UK there's a retail version released that I saw in HMV - it's the 'no DJ' track list ('Spectacular' as the last track) and the 'proper' cover but is labelled as 'Black Milk presents Caltroit' with literally no mention of Bishop and a link to Black Milk's Myspace on the back.

Does anyone know if this retail version is official? If it is I'll buy it because I agree with supporting artists like these, especially when Bishop has given us such dope free shit in the past. If it's not, I'd rather wait to see if the artists release the 'no DJ' version another way.

Thanks.
