MANY BLACK CELEBS ARE NOT GIVING MONEY TO BARACK OBAMA - LIKE BEYONCE, JAY Z, DIDDY, SPIKE LEE AND MORE
January 07, 2008. MediaTakeOut.com has learned that a number of Black entertainers have put their money where their mouth is and donated to Barack Obama's presidential campaign. Will Smith and Oprah Winfrey maxed out on donations to the presidential front-runner. So did Tyra Banks, Halle Berry, Jamie Foxx, Eddie Murphy, Chris Rock and Forest Whitaker.
But MediaTakeOut.com has also learned that a number of prominent African celebrities have not donated a penny towards the campaign. The following is a list of entertainers who, so far, have refused to contribute to the Obama campaign:
Shawn "Jay Z" Carter
Beyonce Knowles
Spike Lee
Bill Cosby
Denzel Washington (although his wife Pauletta donated the maximum amount)
Sean "Diddy" Combs
Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson
Quincy Jones (Donated the maximum amount to Hillary Clinton)
Ain't it funny how every time the above artists have a project coming out, they ask you to go out and support them with your money.
