Well , I want to buy a nice audio system (for my house not car) which provides a very crisp and clear sound .. I'm willing to spend 2000-2500 dollars on it .. I don't know much about stereos and all that and I want to take my time not to be dissapointed by what I will buy regarding the important amount of money .. I'm sure some dudes here are reliable when it comes to that so any advices would be appreciated ..

lol at the car stereo advice. the first post says a system for his house, NOT car :D
i don't know a huge amount about hi-fi equipment but i'd probably reccomend a high-end consumer set-up as opposed to anything ridicolous that is just too costly to maintain or get hold of/connect up. i'm sure sony do some nice higher models, then you got technics or pioneer with a lot of nice gear and as somebody already mentioned, denon is high-end consumer brand that specialise in quality hi-fi, i'd probably reccomend checking them out. i just got a pair of $350 denon headphones 8)
