this page has nothing but CGI timeouts, overseer you need to do something about that cause it's a pain in the ass and hard to see any threads or replys to threads, peace.
-
It happens to me aswell, but when I do a reply (the page where you type your posts) I always see all the previous posts at the bottom.
-
it happens if u have a slow ass connection - aint shit i can do about it.. this board is soo damn busy I cant afford to switch to another host at the moment.. i've always got my eyes open tho
-
naw man, i got a cable modem so there ain't no way that i got a slow connection, is there any other way that this could be happening
-
I got cable and I have no problems at all.
-
I think it happens to peeps who have Netscape or earthlink...
-
well i use explorer
-
it is because your connection *to the board* is slow... i have probs sometimes and i have adsl.. the further away - the worse.. i think the server is in the east of the UK - i'm in the west. - internationally it will be worse
-
oh well then that makes sense than, cause i live in windsor canada which is right across the bridge from detroit to give you an idea, peace.
-

No it's the CGI... the cgi only gives the visitor so much time to load... when that time runs out it stops loading... so yes, it could be the connection, but also think about it. what takes time to load? PICTURES! All those profile pics takes time to load and slow you down and since CGI only gives you a certain amount of time it always comes up with an error. What you need to do, is try to figure out if you can adjust the cgi time to a more decent time cause it's definetly not working here...
-
Yo it can't be because of oversee's people cause I'm in the west of scotland and it happens with me. I guess it must be because it loading up 2 much information at once but a refresf once or twice usually gets rid of it for me.
-
Im in California.......thats a long way to the UK
-
hehe well all i know is this... ya connection is always all over the place coz of your isp + what u are doing
u get 10 seconds to get the page - if u dont get it, the server spits 'CGI Timeout' to ya - and thats all it sends.
i cant change this, they wont change this - next year it'll get sorted coz we'll have a better host
-
Thats cool. i think i can handle it
