Isley Brothers - Highways of My Life
theres a lot more, im not really into sampling myself tho, all my shit gotta be original
-
I'd sample this song from the late 70s called "Sisters Of The Moon" by a band called Fleetwood Mac. Yea, you heard right. I think I'd re-create those notes and make em sound pretty gangsta. I'd use heavy keys like the ones on "Get Yo Walk On". You gotta here the song to understand...LoL.
Good topic.
-
I've been thinkin about that for a long time and I sampled it on "Lyrically Fonky: Tha First"...You'll see.
-
Tha theme song from Hill Street Blues.
tired of bein alone -Al Green

How bout some old Michael Jackson shit?
-
yeea, the bassline from thriller would sound dope on a hip hop track. he got a gang of hot ones you could sample.
perhaps not blame it on the boogie tho ;D
-
It's amazing how people barely sample MJ...
-
Cause they are afraid of a lawsuit. MJ's music is the only thing people respect from him now-a-days and probably his most precious possesions.
-
Some Sam & Dave ish, or Jackie Wilson!
How bout the theme song to Sanford & Son? I loved that show 8)
-
That show was the shit dawg. Red Foxx is hilarious.
-
I'd sample a track called Apache from '68 by Michael Viners Incredible Bongo Band.
-

"I think the point when I stopped talking to [Dave] was...when he shot his wife. I felt that was going a little too far."
