Title: WHAT DO YALL THINK BOUT WOT I JUST READ??
Post by: Rud on June 14, 2001, 02:44:29 PM
JUST CAUGHT THIS ON ANOTHA BOARD

POST UR THOUGHTS ON THA NUMBA OF TRACKS!

INTERSCOPE RECORDS EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW (June 14th 2001)

Krush411F:
Is N*ggaz Nature the official next single?

Interscope:
No, it is not. Letter To My Unborn-Its already official. The 12" has been put out, but, it features that song on the single, So actually, I guess you can say its "on the next single" ..(laughs)....

Krush411:
I see- Is a Letter video in the works?

Interscope:
Yes, they are working video ideas as we speak

Krush411:
Will the next double (In November) be the last regarding Tupac's Makaveli era?

Interscope:
Yes, it will be. There has been talk about it not being released in November though. Most likely it will be released in Jan or Feb 2002.

Krush411:
What is the cause for the delay?

Interscope:
No cause, just that 2 albums in one year may be a bit much.

The first single will definitly be out in November though - Mamas Just A Little Girl.

Krush411:
Can you please tell us the name of a few tracks to be on the next double?

Interscope:
I cant release that info. A final track listing hasnt been confirmed yet anyway. There are a lot of potential tracks but no finalized ones.

Krush411:
What happened to the promised track 'Untouchable'?

Interscope:
DeathRow didn't want to put it out on that album. If it comes out it will be on the next. Or on a comp (compilation). ( Rumour has it Left Eye took it for her own album, or that it will appear on Crooked I's album, 'Untouchable', since he recorded the version originally done for the UTEOT project)

Krush411:
Is there many un-bootlegged tracks left for the next LP?

Interscope:
Yes!

Krush411:
Can you please give me an estimate?

Interscope:
There are very many. Probably around 150.

Krush411:
150 unbootlegged Makaveli era tracks?

Interscope:
Including the ones Tupac recorded with DPG, Outkast, and his One Nation shit. Yep Somewhere around there. Give or take a few.

Krush411:
Thats enough to fill 10 more albums of Makaveli content, what will be made of the tracks that don't make the cut for the next double album?

Interscope:
They will mostlikely never be released. Most of the tracks were never "tracks". It's just Pac (sometimes outlawz) rapping over a beat.

Krush411:
Many fans worry that the next album (based on what unreleased tracks they know of that are left) will be mostly group tracks and fear a lack of true solo songs left to make the album. Will the next double album still be considered a solo album?

Interscope:
There will always be enough tracks left for solo songs. For almost every song Pac recorded with the Outlawz or not. He recorded 3-5 verses so everyone could be made into a solo track if he wanted....Yes, It will be considered a solo album. With guests of course.

Krush411:
It is rumoured that the Neptunes are involved with the next double LP, can you specify any other artists or producers, mixers, etc.. that will do work with the album?

Interscope:
Thats true. TrackMasters, Jonny J, Hutch, EDI, Daz Dillinger, Moe Z (as a guest appearence on a track) as far as producers go. Artists: Busta, E-40, Richie Rich, Crooked I, SKG, Valentine, Kamilion, Twista (will) maybe feature on the album also. These are all potential, no finalization what-so-ever.

Krush411:
How will Suge be involved in the next LP?

Interscope:
If everything goes right he will be VERY involved. So much infact it scares the shit out of Amaru. He along with Interscope will have most say on what goes into and on the album.

Krush411:
So we can expect a much more raw, uncensored project basically?

Interscope:
Well, not as far as production goes. Most tracks will be reproduced. But, yes it will be uncensored. There will be more "diss" tracks. And there will be no words taken out of certain tracks. ie, 'This Aint Livin'.

Krush411:
Any chance that 'Wrote The Glory' could appear as a track?

Interscope:
No, not on this album anyway.

Krush411:
Well, I can't think of anymore questions, but one final questions - Is there anything you would like to tell all the fans about the upcoming album that I haven't mentioned so far or anything else?

Interscope:
Look out for some heat. Its gonna be madd tight. Best album by far. No doubt about it!

somehow i dont see 'interscope' describing 2pacs older works as "Including the ones Tupac recorded with DPG, Outkast, and his One Nation shit"

it sounds like a very relaxed.. almost of the record thing

All the posthumous is gettin worse. The best one was R U Still Down. The rest are no where near his work when he was alive. I still have hope though.

YEah Trauma is right. His music has no growth. I'm tired of hearing "f---- bad boy" and stuff like that. It's getting old and tired.

Of course, to a new listener, it's just as good as ever.

But it's a damn shame having to hear him say the same things. I mean, like the man said, if it new released, it would be different...But as it is?

Damn, but is it sad.
