Dubcnn had the chance to hook back up with the Underground King Bun B. Barely a month after the unfortunate passing of his partner and friend Pimp C, Bun connected with us for an in-depth two-part interview. In the first part, we talk about the death of Chad "Pimp C" Butler, his funeral, how Bun has been holding up, the reactions from the fans, the Grammy nomination, Bun's new single "That's Gangsta" featuring Sean Kingston and produced by J.R. Rotem from his new album "II Trill", details on the album, what fans can expect from it and much more.

Yeah I believe he showed up all dressed up in his extravagant green suit with some hoes and he showed up pretty late.. Atleast that's what it said on the internet.

Great read. Bun sounds like a real strong dude and I'm glad he's gettin right back in the game. He's easily one of the top MC's in the game today. His hit on the UGK album was insane.

I've been listening to that latest UGK a lot for the past few days. I picked it up back in September and it's taken a long time for me to really appreciate it. When I first heard it a lot of it was so dark and so downbeat that I wasn't really feeling it. I kinda felt like "this is some depressing music". But the more I've listened the more beautiful some of the production sounds, and Pimp passing makes some of his lines fucking gut-wrenching to hear now. RIP to that man.
