Yo!
What's Everybody Think About Tim McVeigh?
I'll Just Go Ahead And Say It, He Killed 168 People, I'm Glad He's Dead. (I'm Not Christian Enough, I Know)...
I Also Think That He'll Get His From God, So Maybe It's Not Up To Us To Punish Him, But I Think His Death Will Help Send A Message To People That Terrorism And Killing People Is Something We Won't Tolerate...
-
No matter what I don't agree with his life being taken - but I'm sure if it were my family there I'd be up in arms
i think some of these people who campaigned for his death will be shocked when their confused feelings of anger and loss dont go with him.
I don't know about the alternatives really.. coz from the outside it seems like jail for some is easy nowadays but no matter what justice does not equate to death.
bizzare.. i just browsed cnn and they mention that europe especially are looking down on america
some quotes
"Many Europeans are puzzled that a nation parading itself as a model of democracy and human rights continues to carry out death sentences."
"It is high time the United States rethought its attitude to the death penalty and aligned its position with the great majority of the free and democratic world."
The London-based human rights group Amnesty International said the execution was a triumph of vengeance over justice.
-
he killed over 100 people so why the fuck shouldn`t he be killed? i don`t care that i didn`t know one of those 100 people, I still think they should have gave him a slower, more painful death.
-
FRY that white boy! he deserves to fuckin DIE nice and slow
-
actually i think killing them is the easy way out, beceause if i was up 4 murder i'd rather die than spend 25 years locked up. punishment would giving them a real LIFE sentence till they dead possibly spent in solitary.
-
ahh dont worry he'll get his punishment from God ;)
-
Oh, BTW, Some Seem Confused...
He's Actually ALREADY Dead, He Was Killed By Lethal Injection Monday Morning...
I'm A Libra, So I See All Sides Of It, (LOL), But Really Though, He Deserved To Die, I Think.
I Was Reading Up On Around The World,
In Saudi Arabia, They Still Cut Peeps heads Off. They Take Them Into An Arena, Have Them Kneel; A Soldier Hands The Executioner A Sword, He Stabs The Guy In The Back With It (It Makes Your Head Automatically Go Up), And Then With 1 Move Slices The head Off. Later On, They Sew The Head Back On Out Of Respect For The Dead.
In Japan, There Are Still Public Executions, But They Are Rarely Seen By The Outside World. They Killed 4 People Recently That Had Been On Deathrow For Years; All Were Killed On THe Same Morning Last November.
I Can't Remember The Country, But 1 Country Holds An Arena Gathering, Where The Prisoners Are Heckled, Then Sent Out into The Desert By Truck. Once There, They Shoot Them In The Back Of The Head, Then Bury Them.
In Contrast, 3 Years Ago, Boris Yelstin Gave Every Prisioner CLEMENCY That Was On Death Row... What's That Mean? He Let 176 Prisoners Sentenced To Death Go Free From Jail. DAMN.
-
Oh Yeah, And In 1 Country (Middle East) They Let The Father Or Brother Of The Victim (Death) Mow The Condemned Man Down In the Middle Of An Arena With A Machine Gun. LOL, NO LIE!
-
actually i think killing them is the easy way out, beceause if i was up 4 murder i'd rather die than spend 25 years locked up. punishment would giving them a real LIFE sentence till they dead possibly spent in solitary.
i agree with that, let that mufucka rot.
you know how painless his death was? he got one injection to make him unconscious, one to stop his breathing, then a final one that stopped the heart. no pain at all.
-
i read somewhere they make sure the nedels they use are properly sterilised, as if thats gone matter muthafucka gone die anyway
-
I WATCHED THAT THING ON TV TONIGHT AND I WAS CLOSE TO TEARS FOR THE FAMILIES THAT LOST THEIR LOVED ONES.
BUT MY MUM SAID TO ME TODAY THAT TWO WRONGS DONT MAKE A RIGHT.
I DUNNO WHAT TO THINK REALLY.
-
Personally I see nothing wrong with the death penalty as long as it is not abused. If you can prove without a shadow of a doubt that the person commited the crime then they deserve to die. "You live by the sword, you die by the sword". You do wrong it will come back to you after you die or also while your on earth.
This guy killed 168 people, 19 of them children under the age of 5. He knew damn well what he did. Ao how does he deserve to live? I believe the muthafucka shoulda benn locked up in a building and blown up so he can see how it feels.
As for the way Middle Eastern Countries and Asian countries carry out their death penalty, I think thats how every country should do it. You notice how they don't have as many crimes and other crap goin on because the people are scared to death of having their hands chopped out or being hung. That way there would be no more terrorist bombings.
And believe me, McVeigh did not die as easy as we think. You just couldn't se it but he was suffering. He just couldn't show any expressions. Its still nothing compared to the way those others dies in the federal building.
God bless the families of the victims involved in the Oklahoma City bombings and as far as Tim McVeigh is concerned, may God have mercy on his soul.

B-Dogg's Right On A Few Points, I Think....
For Instance, The MAIN Reason For The Death Penalty Is To Be Preventative, Not Really Punishment, Ya Know?
Like, If You KNOW They're Gonna Kill You For Rape (Because You Saw So And So Get Killed Because Of It)... You're Gonna Have To NOT MIND Dying To Rape Somebody... Not As Many People Would Do It...
This Sends A Message To Those Faggots Out There That Think They Can Blow Up 150 People With A Bomb, People They NEVER MET Mind You, And Get Away With It... The Message Is, Do It, And You'll Die. You're Life Will Be Over, We Don't Want You Here Anymore; We Can't Threaten Them With More Than That.
Plus, I'm Really Angry At Him, Ya Know? So Maybe I'm Not Thinking Straight, But I Just Lost My Dad To A Heart Attack; As Much As My Family's Going Through, HE PERSONALLY Caused That Same Pain (Maybe More) For 167 Other Families. What A Coward! Ya Know? It's One Thing To SELECTIVELY Kill 167 People You Have A Problem With. But To Blow Up 167 People You Have NO PROBLEMS With (That You've Never Met, INCLUDING Innocent Kids), That's A Faggot-Ass Coward. What A Punk.
And One More Thing, I Don't Want To Be Judgemental, Because It Ain't My Job, But If I Know 1 Thing, I Know God Don't Like People That Kill Kids. This MothaF**ker Is Going To BURN For Eternity, And It's Gonna Be Worse Than He Or We Could EVER Imagine. People Take That Stuff Too Lightly; He Thinks He's All Tough, Not Crying For The Families, Expressing No Remorse, Etc.... I Guarantee You He Regrets it ALL Right Now. When I See People Laughing It Off Like Him, Acting Like It's No Big Deal, It Just Makes Me Feel Secure To Know That God's Got Our Back, Ya Know? We Can't Do Anything To Him, But We Don't Have To Worry About It, He'll Get His, And We'll ALL Find Out What Happened One Of These Days, Ya Know?
-
Timothy Macveigh shouldnt have did what he did, and he definitely shouldnt have targeted innocent citizens, but i agree with his anti- american govt stance, if you knew what the american govt has done around the world, and the crimes they commmited...........
you'd have a different view
again, im not agreeing with what he did, but he is simply one person who got caught and punished, thousands go unpunished for acts of murder
(sharon)
-
They shoulda' just sliced his balls off...End of story...No reason to end life...
-
i think personally that leaving him in Jail for the rest of his life would be a lot worse then the death penalty... but some of the victims loved one's want some piece of mind... and i guess killing him will do that...
Peace
-
He got off eazy.... Lethal Injection so it wouldn't be painful.. I would've busted out with some Japanese torture methods...
Or atleast they could have gave him the electric chair..... but let'em get electrecuted a lil and then accidently turn it off..... then back on... then back off.... back on.... yeah, that would be some funny shit.
I dont think there's nothin wrong with the Death Penelty.... alot of times people get off TOO EASY... if you're gonna kill over 100 innocent people.. why do you deserve to live?
-
yo techniec. what crimes are you referring to and where do you live?
-
Lethal Injection is not as painless as it seems. You just can't see there expressions. Its not like putting an animal to sleep. Its like the person is blowing up inside. They stop the heart and the person can feel that. I forgot the whole process but it is not painless, yet its too quick. Like Criminal said they shoulda tortured his ass.
The best thing to do in my opinion is blow him up.
-
THE INJECTION ISNT PAINFULL COS HE IS ALREADY UNCONCIOUS B4 HE IS GIVIN THE LETHAL POISON.........SO HE DUZNT FEEL N E THIN...........ITS FUCKED UP
peace
-
Surely if someone is in the mindstate to blow up 168 people they don't mind dying
I can't believe that the so called greatest nation in the world has the death penalty
If I had killed 168 people would I want to:
a) Be killed myself or
b) Live with myself for 60 years - locked up
I would take a) anyday
Please believe the American nation gave Timothy McVeigh EXACTLY what he wanted
And like on of the protester's signs said : " God loves you Timothy, even if we don't"

its debates such as this which get my blood racing....
i got a degree in moral issues and i read up on this kind of thing all the time....
this falls into the same catogary as euthanasia and abortion and any self respecting moralist will tell you that it is NEVER right to kill someone else....the bible backs that up, the qu'ran does, every religion there is is against murder under any circumstances.
it is a basic human instinct to say "an eye for an eye..." but in my opinion it is wrong. tim mcveigh's death wont end this story, and it wont make anybody any better off, its a cowardly thing for the usa to do to make an example of him as they are and, in my opinion, the relatives and survivors of the bombing place themselves on his level by killing him.
if they cant forgive him and spare his life then god will not forgive them is how i see it, no matter how hard it is to get over this tragedy NOTHING can justify a planned, un natural death.
-
I feel ya I totally agree I'm a catholic and I believe that the USA is totally wrong with this
The president - the most important and powerful man in the world said:
"The families of the dead have not got vengeance they have got justice"
That is sickening, some justice that is
America needs to check themselves over this
-
yo FC, i live in toronto and my life is good, but i am of afghan origin, and im a muslim, and theres numerous examples of US foreign inteference in other nations affairs
1. constant bombing of Iraq
2. the bombing of Iranian navy vessels, during the iraq-iran war
3. supplying of weapons to the afghan civil war, and
the airstrikes against sudan, afgahnistan, libya
4. their biased and inhuman support of israel, despite atrocities commited on both sides
5. and its not just internationally, read up on the whole cointelpro movement by the FBI in the 60's and 70's targeting civil rights leaders
(still believe the us govt killed malcolm)
peace

The US Government Does PLENTY Bad. But, Why Did The Dumbass Blow The Building Up During THe Day, When He Knew There'd Be Innocent People Inside? Why Not Blow It Up At Night? Because He Meant To Hurt Innocent People, That's Why. I Can't Forgive That, I'm Human, I'm Not Perfect, And God Knows That. That's Just Out Of My Capacity, I'm Not Jesus, I Can't Forgive Everybody.
BTW, I Don't Know If Yall Know It In Other Countries, But The U.S. Has 2 Types Of Crimes; There's Federal Crimes (Which This Was; He Blew Up A Government Building) And Then There Are Crimes Jurisdicted By The States. Last Year America Killed 80 People, So It's Really Not Out Of The Ordinary; This Was Just The First FEDERAL Prisioner Killed In 30 Years, Every Year The States Kill People. Electrocution, Lethal Injection, I Think 1 State Still Hangs, and 1 State Still Uses A Firing Squad, Although I Don't Know If They've Killed Anyone Lately... I Thought I Remembered Hearing Of A Guy Hung As Little As 5-6 Years Ago, Though...
-
What he did was undeniably wrong, but he did it out of a feeling of a need for justice, however misplaced.
I'm pretty damn sure Heaven has an asylum...Either that, or he's goin to Purgatory. Only people that do things out of unashamed greed go straight to Hell.
And he accepted he would die for his "heroism".
Crimes are: Starving Iraqis(McVeigh being a Gulf Vet). Waco Siege(if my figures are right, more people died there than at Okhlahoma)...Etc.
-
Hey everyone loses in this. If we didn't kill him people would be like "Why is the monster still alive" and when we kill him peeps are like "The U.S. is sick. Why did they kill him?"
The truth is the US is very fucked up. Sometimes it goes along with moral values and then the next it wants to be politically Correct with issues so it can look all good. McVeigh's execution may not have brought the victims back but it brings closure to the families of the victims.
If someone killed your loved one would you want them to live in a prison for life? Even if you forgive that person you want justice. You would want the person to lose exeactly what the person you loved lost: their life.
I don't know why everyone wants to be so god damn politically correct. I don't agree with much that Bush says but I agree with his statement yesterday: "Justice was served".
-
btw it was mentioned b4 about the death penalty being a deterant, if ur the type of person who needs to murder some1 ur not really gone b too bothered about what the punishment is, ur just gone try and not get caught
-
I think the reason is this...
America has had problems with terrorists in the past.
The reason is that in issues aboard it usually supports the people with money (or the ones that will end up being the most tactically advantageous against another foe), not the 'just' causes.
America wants to show terrorists that they will die if they try it, this limits the amount of terrorism down to extreme groups.. likely to have been already identified by the CIA
-
not that many died at waco.. less than one hundred... and you can say what you like about america... i mean this is a nation of free speech, which i kno is not always true in other nations, i believe the US will be smiled upon in history, and you know why, because their so called atrocities are nothing compared to the horrible acts committed by a dozen nations e.g. all the communist nations that have ever existed, national socialism, anything to that effect and most governements going back to before the roman empire. compared to all of those the US is the most benevloent nation of all.. and as far as general religion's being against murder, i can't say that i have had pleasure of reading the qu'ran, but if you want to read of vengance and an eye for an eye, look at the old testament of the bible, which is of course also in the torah... finally as for US support of Israel, its easy, three reasons, first the holocaust where the US failed to do jack to help the jews as did all of western europe, secondly, in the US there are a large number of jews in america in powerful or wealthy positions who of course are going to contribute to campaigns or lobby for their cause, and thirdly i could be in err but i hav heard a little of the jihad and well the US is a little less likely to support those who call the US the land of the white devil.. peace

It's OVER!
