I don't remember any stories from 2007, I don't really keep up with hip-hop news anymore. So I just name a couple of my favourite albums from 2007, The Cool, Dirty Acres & The Offering.

Imma have to agree!!!

ALthough I do want to check for the new albums coming out, I rarely do it because I just have too much old stuff to listen to, so the thing that really made me happy in 2007 was VH1's Hip-Hop Honors.Tribe and Whodini tributes were great, Wild Style honoring too
UGK making a track with Kool G Rap and Big Daddy Kane was another great moment for me

2007 was boring as hell. It did have a lot of great albums that didn't sell shit and went off the planet in a second (Cham, Freeway, Styles P...). But as far as hip hop feeling alive, with rappers selling, that didn't happen. Only mainstream releases that cought some attention were Timbo and Buck in March, T.I. in June and Kanye and 50 in September. That was it. And even most of those were all hype and once they got released, they were forgotten quickly (T.I., 50).
So, my fav moment would have to be Cham releasing such a dope album but it's sad that we won't see any more videos from it or any type of news regarding the album.

Just the first time, I bumped N.W.A by Crooked I, shit was dope as fuck. 8)

The 50 vs. Kanye thing was very gay in a non-homosexual manner.
I think agree with you on the HHWs. It was a fresh idea from a great rapper and now a lot of rappers do something similar to what Crooked I started :)

dope shit, i think the best memory for me when i bumped chamillionaires album the first time...it fully took me by suprise man, i felt i was listening an album back in 2001 or someshit, nice concept, full of bangers...cannot believe it didnt sell, its got nuff hit potential stacked up in it, but yeh that was def a dope moment....i also liked the fact kanye bough 50 down more than a few notches after listening him speak about sales for the last 4 years to goin to an album that just hit abou hit platinum, was nice to see someone get humbled....

Humbled ? You know what he said 1 week ago "I sold more worldwide. So I win."
-
lol i guess thats 50 for you....though im sure it did humble him abit inside no matter what he says in public after all the fuss he made he did get outsold in his own country...
i think u mentioned something about cham not releasing any more videos or no more news about the album? why not? is this to do with sales?
-
Most likely. He wanted to shoot a vid for Industry Groupie, had everything planned and shit but the label cut his budget in half after the weak sales. He said he was gonna do the vid for Wont Let You Down remix instead but no updates on that yet.
BTW did you check this http://www.dubcnn.com/connect/index.php?topic=167649.0. Knoc having better Dre-ish beats than Dre lol.

#1 has to be Hip Hop Weeklies!!!
