The easy answer would be Dre with the incredible success he has had of late. But then you gotta think about what Cube has done.....
I'd say Ice Cube has proved to be the better business man over the years.
For instance:
Ice Cube was the only one smart enough to get his NWA contract looked over by a lawyer and consequently left the group because he saw he was being cheated. Dre later admitted that he should have followed suit and not signed the new NWA contract.
Cube then went on to star in Boyz in the hood and drop platinum record after platinum record. His list of movies also include, Glass Shield, Anaconda, Players Club, Friday, Next Friday, Higher learning, that gulf war movie, that movie with Elizabeth Hurley, and I'm sure a ton more I just can't think of.
Basically Cube has never dropped an album that didn't sell well and he has appeared in a ton of movies, and owns his own record label and production company.
Dre on the other hand got shafted in his early N.W.A days and then went on to BIG things at Deathrow only to leave Deathrow without anything near what he deserved. It is only now that Dre is his own boss and truely brining in the cash.
So who do you think has more $$$$$?????
I vote still goes to Dre. But I really wouldn't be surprised if Cube actually has more dough!

Cube has more money. He has done more movies than Cube. You know how many millions they probably paid him to do Three Kings? Plus Next Friday was the number one movie a couple years back.
Dre may have more now since Aftermath has blown up.

Cube is good in all, but he hasnt really made alot of money from his last few releases. yeah he makes money from his movies, but it is in the hundres of thousands not millions. He probably made a few Millions of his friday movies, and i say around like 20Million from both movies combined maybe...when u factor in the cost, and how much New Line Cinema gets......I believe last time i read, Cube pulls in between $400,000- 700,000 a movie.
thats some change..dont get me wrong.
But, with Dre in january figures came out that just for HIS 2001 CD, he mad $73,000,000 Million dollars......Just from his 2001 cd...........the up in smoke tour he made like $24,000,0000.
Eminem made $143,000,000 Million from his CD....and you know Dre gets a percentage of each sale of Em's CD.
I heard that Dre charges up to $100,000 per track depending on who you are.
6 songs will equal what Cube made for a movie.

He quit a company and wants paid for quiting.

What the hell are you talking about? Dre was not a mere "employee" to Death Row Records. He was a founding father. His contributions were essential in Death Rows rise to fame. It doesn't matter that Dre quit, he should have been fairly compensated by Suge just as any other former partner would be in "real" business.

The situation between Dre and Eminem is entirely different. Eminem is an artist signed to Dre's label, but Dre and Suge were business partners. THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO.
Nobody here is riding Dre's dick. It's just obvious that there is a RIGHT and WRONG way to do business and Suge is doing it the WRONG fucking way!

What do you mean Dre has been around longer than Cube??? They both made it big at the EXACT same time. The only difference is Cube has never lost any of his money. And correct me if I'm wrong...Ice Cube wasn't doing the Up In Smoke Tour for free. He was definitely getting a piece of the pie!
My final vote goes to: Ice Cube-by a slim margin. His years of steady album sales and sound record deals along with all of his Hollywood money surpasses Dre even with the all the money he has made.

i'd say cube by far. he's got plenty of albums, and plenty of hit movies. end of story. dre's got two albums, a few tracks here and there, and a couple of albums of other stars, but thats it.........cube's got like 7 albums, and he's on people's tracks all over the place.

Infact I'll tell you why I ain't a fan of Dre as a rapper cause he always got other people to rap with him. His album Chronic 2001. 22 Songs. 2 he done by himself. The rest where either Snoop and Eminem of a lot of small time rappers who he used not to promote them but to help sell his album. I've got The Chronic and Chronic 2001 and I liked Dre until I bought the Chronic 2001 album. And then I was like. Hell that guy has lost man. Some his beats are good but he just lost the rapping thing. The guy rights less than half his lyrics for his songs. That ain't a true rapper.
Anyway as I said. We all have different views on the mattter. If we didn't whee would the world be. If we didn't, how would Amerika be able to elect different people for president cause somebody's gotta have a different opinion for that to happen. Anyway I'll expect some rife back for this one.

Look Trauma I see where you coming from and I ain't dissing Tupac resentlessly cause I am a Tupac fan and hell I got most of his albums. I hate Dre as a rapper and I criticise him for that but praise him as a producer and people who say that he is just a producer are talking shit because if he were then why rap?
Now as for DJQ. Wehter you choose to believe it or not but if you look into it you will find that Tupac's whole Thug Life thing was an image that was created by Deathrow. Hell if the guy was that much a fucking thug then why the hell was he so nice to people when he wasn't in a studio recording rap. When I heard it I didn't believe it at first. But then I found out for real and now I accept it.

I liked Snoop Dogg when he was at Deathrow. He was more real then. If you look into Snoop's past you'll also see some interesting things about him like how he conveniently got shot at the week one of his albums were due to be released and at the same time when people were questioning if he was real. And when he wasn't do that well and his popularity had went down a bit who did he turn to. None other than his old mate Dre who never turned up at Snoops court case. But why? Cause with Snoop being with Dre he would be known again and album sales were boosted and is now very popular in UK.
