Title: Fantasy experts, question about players position eligibility
Post by: GangstaBoogy on January 30, 2008, 04:03:02 PM
Can someone explain to me how some players get to play certain positions while others don't? I mean like how do you qualify?

Example: I see Ronny Turiaf is listed as a SF, PF but I can't recall him ever playing a single second at SF, but he has however played a lot of minutes at C for us over the past 2 seasons. And Kobe is just a SG but he's played SF a lot throughout his career (I believe SF was actually his first starting position).

Then on the other had someone like Wade can play PG, SG but he hasn't been a PG since his first season. Or Josh Smith can play SG,SF,PF but I'm pretty sure he doesn't play SG.

Just wondering!

It's all about how the people at yahoo interepret it. Turiaf came into the league as a combo forward...Wade came in as a combo guard. Josh Smith has definitely played the guard position before, as well....After a player has played enough games at a certain position, they become eligible for it...Turiaf shoulda' been C eligible long ago. I guess the dudes at Yahoo fell asleep on that one...PeACe
