The Dilated Peoples track was my favorite song when it first came out, that's when I used to watch BET religiously, and liked almost every track. :D Nah that shit is fuckin' tight as hell, I used to outplay it.
The second one reminds me of BET. LOL. A couple years ago I used to live on the network. That's that track you'd sing the hook to in the mirror. ;D

That J5 was huge when they put it in that sprite commercial a few years back. i wouldnt call them slept on.

I dont know, j5's light hearted pseudo artsy rhymes get on my nerves, i always hear them at all white house parties too where people dont wanna admit they like rap, so they put on some lame american pie shit..they just never impressed me

That J5 song is pretty serious tho, really good

Those were both somewhat recent and big tracks showing the West Coast has more than just gangsta rap. I like Jurassic 5 but I kind of agree with what some people said about them, they can be boring. I didn't really like "This Way" or the Neighborhood Watch album that much at first because it seemed like everyone was hopping on their nuts, but it was actually a great album and the verses on the song are real cool.
