Yo........if you guys get a chance....check out this website.......
People in the bay should know who this guy is.......
He is well known........
http://www.daveyd.com/
but he had some good questions..............
Questions to Ponder
1- Has anyone peeped the lyrics in the song Oochie Wally? In the second verse is he describing a gang rape?
If so how did we let that pass and make it a hit record with little if no objections?
i cant stand this song...and if this is true...that is some messed up shit....
2- Was I the only one surprised to hear Reverend Run on stage cursing up a storm the last couple of times he's been in town performing? Can Reverends curse.. or is he not the Reverend Run when on stage?
3- There are all sorts of reports and stories suggesting that members of the LAPD may have had something to do with Biggie's death.. What should we as Hip Hoppers be doing about that? Boycott LA? File a class action suit? Lobby Congress?? What?
4- Whatever happened to Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam..Is she making a comeback..
Remember before there was J-Lo there was Lisa Lisa?
5- Has Hip Hop outside the US stepped up and improved? If so.. How come we don't embrace and listen to more of it? If Hip Hop is truly global, who can name at least 10 current Hip Hoppers outside of the states?

Cause we are ignorant Americans. We are the most racist and proud country in the world. Thats why most of us only speak 1 language and we are the onlt epople to use the English measurement system.
Oops...I went into another tangent. LOL.
Oochie Wally doesn't exactly describe a gang rape. Its more of like a orgy. You would have to ask Whoorider since she is an "expert" at these situations.

I never understood why Reverend Run cusses in the booth and then goes into the church to preach. Hipocritical.
-
man run dmc are some fakes theses days....
i grew up on their shit n all that but they really should know when to call it a day
and as for the reverend thing...i cant decide if its sincere or a publicity stunt....either way his heart clearly aint in it 100% all the time

5. in some places it is... I heard France has an crazy scene.. but the language barrier stops it blowing up.. the uk has lots of acts.. but theres no major support for people doing it 'the uk way'. there are a few big uk artists now like roots manuva, the creators (who are recognised in the US as dope producers and beat diggers) and Mark B & Blade are in the public eye the most at the moment theres more coming up.
one trap Uk rappers fall into is 'copying' americans by talking about bling bling shit instead of doing their own thing.. good in someways.. bad in others.
-
YEH I KNOW WOT YA MEEN OVERSEER....
THE UK SCENE NEEDS 2 KEEP AN INDIVIDUAL STANCE 2 B RECOGNISED!
peace
***AND I DONT MEEN TEA AND CUCUMBER SANDWICHES!!***

as for the reverend run question, it's not against God's law to say bad words, i really don't think it's problem in christianity. maybe in catholicism, or a different religion, but christianity is actually a pretty lenient religion.
-
Yeah but if your a Reverend your suppose to set an example of how to live your life through Christianity. I know its not that big of a deal but thasts the responsibilities of a pastor, rev. etc.

answer for QUESTION 5

-

3. i seriously seriously doubt the LAPD would kill biggie the LAPD is actually a good police department and it's totally different one than the one 12 years ago that NWA were rapping about
-
It hasn't changed that much. Don't forget about Ramparts. Plus my history teacher (who is a retired cop) admitted that things are even more corrupt, but they are more on a down low than before.
