Don't know how true it is but if it is then I'm confused. New Jersey knows the only player we've been interested in is Kidd but they offer us Carter? Heh. We'll see.

Hell No!
Farmar Alone Would be too Much for Carter.
No thank's..
-
wouldn't do it if i was LA
-
Pass....

I duno that would be a pretty sick lineup, Kobe and Vince both on the floor! Bynum and Gasol! Hopefully Kobe and Phil could spark a fire under VC. The only problem with him is he needs constant motivation to play at the level he should be playing all the time.
-
Vince Carter is kinda on and off. not worth it.
-
Carter is obviously better then either of those two players. But I wouldnt see a good fit with him and Kobe on the floor together.
-
Vince Carter is GARBAGE
I would never want that dude on my team

i wouldnt consider him garbage. but hes susceptible to injury. hes always injured.
-
I love watching VC but he doesn't seem to have a lot of heart, i'd pass on this if I was LA, as much as i'd like to see Kobe and VC on the same team
-
The only reason why Carter is not playing like an All-Star is because the Nets suck. If he was playing for a championship he'd be killing niggas. Nevertheless it can't be regarded as a good trade for LA, because Kobe and Vince won't work together.

Thats what I thought about Ray Allen and paul Pierce
-
Well if they can co-exist if can be a good trade, for the reason that Odom is quite a bum these days, he's not the initiator he used to be, and his excessive rebounding is not needed at all when Bynum and Gasol are playing. I just have a hard time imagining Carter and Bryant to fool around and have fun together. I think they gon hate each other lol. Carter always doing dunks Kobe can't do, taking clutch shots Kobe wants to take, all that.
-
Odom is throw away. He doesn't seem motivated enough to play on the Lakers, I doubt seriously he'd be motivated on the Nets.
At least getting Farmar's not a bad deal. If they chose to ship out Kidd, they'll have a solid PG to take his place (not completely fill his shoes just yet, but do a good enough job to get them where they need to be).
Depending on who they get for Kidd, they might get a solid team. Carter with Kobe MAY work, but then you have a few too many players that need the ball. It's working thus far in Boston though... If the Gasol, Carter and Kobe can put their egos to the side and realize that they HAVE to co-exist, then the Lakers may be a real problem.
We'll see...

Again, Hell No!
The Net's Are Welcome to Keep Carter Forever.

That and Vince is not the same player he once was. He is a old 30. That wear and tear is starting to catch up with him.

kobes big ass ego and selfish little drama queen personality wouldnt let this trade work. we all remember what happened when kobe cried like a lil bitch and got shaq traded(where he won another title, proving his dominance) and kobe led the lakers to being losers every year since. but he scores a lot!!!! ::)
-
^ Lol you call people haters yet you hate on Kobe/La in every thread possible

You mean when Shaq demanded a trade because the Lakers wouldnt give him a 30 million dollar contract extension? Yes...we remember. Then he rode Wade to a ring...we remember that, too. Kobe will do whatever it takes to win...And trading for Vince Carter is definitely not what it takes to win.

this wouldn't be a bad trade necessarily

For the Nets, it wouldn't...but for the Lakers, it would be a terrible trade.

There's no way in hell this trade could work for us. First of all the "key" man in the trade is Farmar. He's one of the best young guards in the league, def a future starter for us. He's in the right place (behind Fisher), in the right time (he's still young, while Fisher is a veteran). YOU SIMPLY DON'T TRADE HIM. Expecially a week after you traded Javaris Crittenton and two first round draft picks. Without Farmar we'd have a frontcourt with Fisher, Kobe and just Vujacic. Not good and deep enought to compete for the ring. With Farmar we are loaded. That said, i see no points in trading Odom for Carter NOW. I mean scoring points is not what we need now. We already have Kobe, Gasol, Fisher and Bynum who can score 20 points any night. What we need is a veteran with floor leadership, who can defend and who can help Kobe. Odom is not the best player possible, but he's def better than Carter in those things.

lmao so sad....
Carter would play much better in LA. if my team sucked i wouldnt care much eaither. (Moss, Raiders)
