ever since he dropped streetz iz a mutha every body here in california has been praising him aslo alot of people in the east, so i think it's safe to say that kurupt's album is the most anticipated rapper in the west to drop an album...what possision on the charts do you think he'll debut (he debuted number 35 with streetz iz) and how much do you think he'll sell this time around?
i think at least number 20 and gold plus maybe platnum if he releases the right singles
-
I anticipted DOG more than this...Also DPGC...And 213...
-
It may be the most anticipated by most people but I'm really waitin for tha Eastsidaz.
-
*DPG (not DOG)...LOL
-
is 213 really comin out?.....that would be some classic shit
-
Yeah. It will be an instant classic in my opinion.
-
yeah 213 would defiently be classic DPG shit... dunno if it's going to come out though
yeah i think im anticipating Kurupt more then anything else... then Eastsidaz
Peace
-
don't kid yourself if there was a 213 projec coming out it'd be late 2002 or 2003 if we were lucky...just hope for 213 colabs on future albums at the most.
-
i doubt the 213 album will be dropping anytime soon, maybe next year though
-
There's problems with Nate ain't there?
I think Kurupt could blow up on this one. I mean, any album with Limp Bizkit on is targeting the mainstream
-
HAve u heard kurupts first single? "its over now"
AWWWWW how cute, kurupts wifey wrote his first verse and he wrote her verse....awwww how cute shitty lyrics for kurupt....
i like the song, but its not what we want...we want stuff like hardest muthafucka
-
I heard that as well! I haven't heard the song tho.
Is he tryna be Ja Rule!
-
The album I anticipate the most is surly the warren g album.
I hope that warren don`t let us wait so long,
I need some new shit from him , some smooth shit.
-
I really want to hear that Warren G cd. I waiting for Xzibit's cd, too. Hopefully he won't dissapoint us like he did on restless.
-
Restless wasn't dissapointin...
-
It was too me. It was okay but I expected something that would blow me away. I atleast expected it to be up there with 40 dayz and 40 nightz but it wasn't.
-
kurupt is good...i just dont think he really has the right push behind him......did streetz go gold?
i was listenin to that CD again..and that is a tight azz CD........He need better promotion i think to go gold and platinum......
and if you listen to the cuts on Streetz that has all of the DPGC members......those cuts are tight as fuck........and it makes me wonder...if the Eastsidaz is going to have alot of the DPG members on there...that CD is going to be even better.....
-
yeah streetz went gold+ it was like the hottest album on the streets of cali or at least in Bakersfield and in LA
-
thats good....he deserves it........all of snoop fans should support kurupt.........
Kurupt was lookin tight in the lay low video too..i was like i need to get me that hat! and suit!
anybody know why Dre used the same song..HO's a housewife......on his 2001 CD, since it came out earlier on Streetz?
U know Dre has a ton of other tracks....wonder why he recycled that song for his album..
-
Yo, I'm new to the board so stick with me if I f**ck it up!! I'm with Hambone, I think kurupt is decent when he's with someone, but I'm not the biggest fan of him alone. The new DPG is the bomb but a Kurupt solo, I don't know. I didn't feel the streetz iz a mutha like some of y'all, but it was aiight. We'll have to wait to see! 213, wait a couple of years. They all got to much goin on, like NWA, which we'll never see >:( Peace out for now.
-
why not put it on the album, it's a good song
-
Yeah, but Dre has a million songs so Hambone was just remarking that it was a strange thing to do. Imagine if Little Ghetto Boy was on Doggystyle - tight song but you would ask questions
-
It is a little odd.. I actually dug Kuruption out and listened to the West Coast Disc yesterday - Kurupt produced the original version of the song.
A guess is that Dre&Kurupt did a straight trade.. Kurupt MC'd on 2001 in return for the track - Dre liked the track.. and kept it... plus a bonus for him might have been the exposure of Hittman to Kurupts audience.
-
What do you mean?
So what's Kurupt gaining?
-
he gained
1) Exposure on Dre's album
2) Dre production on his album
-
Who cares?
The version on 2001 is slightyly diffrent, it has an extra little something in the production.
-
Whoa.. "Who cares?" .. someone asked the question "Why" so I answered with my view. chill out.
-
Nah, I didnt mean it in an angry way. I just meant thats the way it is, so who cares, if you get me.
-
yeah i was just wondering with all the damn beats and songs dre has.....you know he could of used something else.......
he made what over 100 plus songs for 2001..........ho is a house wife is a tight song..but it went from Kuruption, streetz, to 2001.....used one too many times.....
No big deal..tight song..but that extra space could be used for something new....
lol I was buggin.....i never really listened to the end of the last song.............
isnt the last 30 seconds funny...
yo dude..are u really a doctor dude!?
lol
-
Yeah thats Thomas Chong of Cheech & Chong on the end. Which I only just relised the other day.
-
For real LOL. I just relised that too. I was lookin throught the 2001 credits and saw Chong was on it.
-
Thats at the end of the message
and hos a housewife...i never even relised till 2 days ago, but that beat is soooooo relaxing and dope.
-
Yall didnt know Chong was on it?
-
Man,notice how when rappers get married they lose their ignorance? I mean politically, they get more polite and not so gangsta and repsect women more,Perfect example: Cube. He respects too much now, he still flows dope and has great lyrics but he lost that political edge because he's not a fiery youngster driven by his love for life, now he's driven by love for Wife...damn shame, i hope kurupt don't get soft.production wise i'm anticipating warren g,who's in my top 5 fave producers plsu he gone have eminem AND G.clinton? this could be classic, and rappin wise, i'm feenin fo Kurupt,my fave MC.. peace-Tanjint
-
I think Lil ghetto boy would have fit aight on doggystyle, I'm sure jake would agree.peace-Tanjint
-
i dont think Lil Ghetto Boy would have fit that well on Doggystyle... but ya never know it might have been tight
