man I love hear'n snoop and dre together but latly I've been noticing that snoops west coast dogghouse type beats don't fit dre's beats, like I love lay low and henn and budda, but the sound is so different from songs like what they say, pop lockin , baby boy ect. I don't know if the styles fit well togethor on the same cd, maybee it would be better just to hear snoop on dre cd's, and not much dre production on snoops upcoming cd's! I'm probably wrong but that's just what I'm thinkin
-
DEFINITELY
I'm one that thinks that instead of (like most people in here want) moving BACKWARDS to Doggystyle days he should go forward and try to change rap on his own, without Dre.
"Come on y'all lets all get down, what we have is a brand new sound"
Snoop - Pleezbaleevit
Safe

horse shit!!!
every track dre has produced for snoop has been tight as hell!!!!
snoop is not moving backwords by working with dre he's actually moving forward becuase dr. dre is always moving forward, whoever thinks dre/snoop don't sound together needs to slap themselfs and choke on a fat mexican dick!
have a nice day i'm out !
-
LOL - Without Dre's beats Last Meal would have sounded as flat as Pleezabaleevit.
-
Nah Dre's beats dont sound out of place on the album. But Meech, Jelly Roll, Battle Cat & Soopafly all add nicely to the mix. The only track that sounds out of place is the No Limit one.
-
Check yourself
Snoop is a big boy now
If he's waiting on Dre to carry him then he'll be waiting for a long time cuz Dre will concentrate on Aftermath artists before Snoop.
Dre's always moving forward and Snoop made huge strides with the Last Meal. Snoop always will sound best with Dre. But he should continue to experiment and expand.
-
I gotta disagree, snoop and dre are awesome together and thats a fact. the fact that snoop can sound just as good with other peoples beats is the reason why snoop is such a good rapper
-
Yeah i think Snoop is best with Dre Beats... but i also think that Snoop sounded great with all his dogghouse producers as well!
Peace
-
I AM NOT SAYING SNOOP AIN'T BEST ON DRE'S BEATS
-
Hate to say it, but ... Battlecat's sound is draining me
They all sound the same. I was banging a new battlecat beat today and my brother was like damn all of Snoop's new songs sound the same ... i was like .... (sigh) yea...
I can hear a Battlecat beat now, and no it's him without knowing it's him. So maybe he has a distinct sound, but why overuse him ... it's what people say about Kokane... it's cool to use him a few times, but too much is draining...

Battlecats beat do sound almost exactly the same!!!!
-
Been a Long Time sounds exactly like G'D up! Yeah! Yeah! Exactly the Same! Yeah! Yeah!
-
lol me and flawless got a running joke
everytime you hear that clap sound you're like 'hey i know who produced this one'. gotta be BC LOL
he does come with heaters tho, Loud And Clear is my favorite track on restless
i think snoop sounds best on dre's shit, and yea i agree it doesnt fit that well on an album with all those other producers (who are also tight) but what cha gonna do?
id rather hear the snoop/dre collabos even if they do sound out of place rather than wait 5 years for dre to be happy with a collaboration album
-
I'm with the idea that all battlecat beats sound the same. Much like DJ Pooh, the beats are good, but you just get tired of hearing them. One battlecat and one Pooh per album would be fine. Give me more Meech, he's got some talent!! As for Dre, anytime that Snoop and Dre in the studio together, you've got a classic hit brewing. Anyone that thinks different needs to listen to the two of them together carefully. They are straight heat. I do think they sound better on hardcore beats than the "fuck You" type beats like on 2001. Snoop needs to expand, but stick with Dre.
-
Meech's beat's sound mad repetative too. To me Fred Wreck is the best of the Dogghouse producers but he hasn't done alot of shit with Snoop's solo albums. I think Snoop sounds best over Dre's beats, I mean he comes with more energy, 2 of his best verses on Last Meal came on Lay Low and Hen N Buddah.
-
You are on some kind of drugs. Snoop over Dre's beats are bangin'. If only dre would produce 80% of a snoop album then I would be extremely happy. Dre brings the best out of snoop like no other producer can do. Meech wells and battlecat are good but they can't touch what dre does for snoop.
-
Snoop flow and Dre's beats work in harmony. Perfect match.
-
dre uses clap drums on 2 beats on dre2001 .
1 is fuck you
and the 2nd i think (not totally sure) is lets get high
-
Hmmmm .... I must have been on crack when I replied to this
-
best producer with Snoop
1 Dre
2 Dj pooh
3 Battlecat
worst ...
1 no limit (beats by the pound)
2 Goldie loc
3 himself
-
i'd put 3 meech, 4 battlecat and 5 daz
-
"3 himself"
OJ Wake up is straight heat
-
LT helped him with Wake Up tho
personally i dont like Meech. his whole sound is thanks to the guitarist Jimmy Roach who plays all those dope loops meech uses.
the beats are coo but i just cant give meech love after i found that shit out
