Title: question, is it illegal to sell mixtapes and make money from 'em nowadays

thought after the RIAA cracked down on mixtapes a couple of years ago , people couldnt grind like that anymore ??

It's always been illegal if you are using somebody else's copyrighted material on it without their permission. Even if you aren't making money off of it it's illegal because you don't have permission. As far as if they'll go after you or not, who knows. But unless you're huge like Drama and Cannon are (the 2 who were arrested), then chances are you can get away with it.
