It was nice to hear the promo from the new Eastsidaz album, it was str8 heat, but I gotta say that I don't feel theese songs like I felt the ones on their first release. I thought I heard someone say that the new album would be str8 up THE BOMB, but these clips doesn't really show it. It may be the bad sound quality, also it may need some time to grow on me! Anyways, the production ain't what it could be and I hope the final outcome will be better!

How do I hear this shit?? what do I do? I got my comp like 4 months ago and It's my first comp so I dont really know how to do shit.
I alwayz go into sites and they got clips or whatever but I can't ever hear them cuz I dont know what to do.... LoL.. sounds stupid huh? Only clips or samples I get to hear are the ones that come up on my Media Player... other clips I gotta download and after I do I can't hear tha songs.... anyone know what I'm tryna say?
Well if someone could help me out and tell me what to do to hear these things..... that would be coo'

how come everybody got all pissed at 2real for putting the promo up and now when jay puts it up in mp3 everyone is congratulating him??? seems biased to me

2real put it up in realaudio so people cant copy it that easily. (and therefore was being selfish)
the reason that i hook people like jay (and dpgc2000) up is because i know they will distribute that shit and not be selfish with it, and wont exclusivfy it by converting it to realaudio

lil j is not saying "hey look i've got bad azz but you can have it all in RA :P" he's saying "here are dope clips from it for people to preview" he runs a news site.
i dont freely distribute albums i get hold of unless someone speciifically asks for it. but i'll push a promo.
when i got hookedup with the promo i gave it to someone who regularly drops stuff like that.. same with the new video i gave dpgc2000 (when he's about b-please has similar vid hookups to me for wc killaz).
basically.. i hate people who get exlusive stuff in mp3/good quality and keep it to themselves forever.

southbound is right. im not one to stick up for 2real EVER, but by putting it up in real audio it makes people want the cd. it isnt being selfish putting up RA's its being respectful of artists
if everyones got mp3s then who needs a cd. you want to share the wealth? go give to charity, dont steal from artists

ok - I understand when people say bootlegging is bad, but as I see it, (in this case at least) the purpose of a promo is to distribute it far and wide... isn't it better for the artist if the promo gets wider exposure?
on the wider thing.. i've bought lots of albums that I wouldnt have otherwise from previewing stuff, plus albums I cant find to buy, and its saved me from buying a brick a few times.

I think that when an album's release date is 17th July, you shouldn't hear any of it (apart from the single(s)) until the 17th July.

personnaly, i find tha promo are kool,, but they don't put them in mp3 format so it's doesn't matter if we can't download them,, plus if they could'nt display the name ,, that would be better cause they couldn't search for 'em if they didn't have tha titles,, u dig,, i think promo's are another kind of publicity. For tha eastsidaz promo, fo sho that even without tha promo i would buy it,,, i love that song time and place and nightmares but the album in general is fuckin dope. do u think it's tha final version, i don't think theres only 12 tracks on the album :-[

In my opinion a PROMO is for PROMOTION! That's why they release it, then they can figure out what songs to keep and what songs to not release ... I don't mind this at all, but what I do mind is leaking a FULL ALBUM before it's release. That's straight not cool, even though I can't resist but d/l them, I always buy the album. Always! I DOWNLOAD WHAT I LIKE ... I BUY THE SAME WAY :)
