!! PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE MY POST !!
Although I do have a great disliking for Manchester United (sorry, it is how I was raised), this post is in no way a reflection of that. It is a series of opinions brought on by the game I have just watched. Also, I am not a fan of Arsenal (I support Bradford City, my local club), I just enjoy watching their football.
what a joke...
i will admit straight away that Arsenal played atrocious... they were crap from start to finish....
the referee had a shocker aswell. all desicions went Utd's way. 2 "handballs" close to the area given (referee in clear view) one of which hit Gallas' chest, the other a blatant ball-to-hand. couple of offsides not given aswell to give a Rooney a chance at goal... lol, i'll come to that. next, the red card. to be fair, it was a pretty bad challenge very worthy of a yellow but a red was too much. he caught Evra side on, barely any contact...
was Wayne Rooney seriously the Man of the Match as the BBC were yacking on about (btw, i love how the media have a hard-on for anything Man Utd related). he played very well for a lone striker but how many chances did he miss? either by bad first touch, or excellent first touch and abismmal finish? Nani, played fantastic, as did Anderson (i really like that kid, he just needs to start scoring). Both were far more deserving of the honour. Fletcher was very hungry today aswell, sometimes though that became aggression and he went in for stupid challenges... which the referee ignored...
OMG @ Adebayors blatant dive... just stupid.
the flow in Arsenal's passing wasn't there. Hleb and Fabregas weren't themselves today... i was going to rant about Traroe then, but to be fair the whole team were seriously lacking... they need to get something sorted before they meet AC Milan on Wednesday.
Last but not least the BBC commentators, as always full of shit...
// rant over...
