Ok, no insult to your age, but your like 14 trying to talk about Eazy E. I know about Eazy E, I was reading everything about the man while he was still alive, and after his death. Now I guess your getting into rap, and figure that your all caught up, you know as much, but just trust me on this, well Eazy E didn't write all his lyrics, he did write some. Now it's true, before they left, Ice Cube and D.O.C. wrote all af Eazy's lyrics, with M.C. Ren, but afterwards, Eazy wrote some of his own, starting with Real Muthaphukkin G'z. Hell, every diss to Dre was writing by him. Also on the side, Still A Nigga, Gimmie That Nutt and It's On from It's On (
) 187um Killa and basically half the songs on Str8 Fff Tha Streetz Of Muthaphukkin Compton.I ain't trying to put you down or anything, just tripping how you are sure of something even thought your new to rap.
-
yeah eazy wrote some shit but not alot. i don't look at it as he was a great rapper because he could/couldn't write lyrics, i looked at it as no matter what he spit you just couldn't wait for the next line, you know.
-
Only about the age thing...I've been into Rap for 5 years..I was basically born into rap, and I bet eazy E wrote one or 2 songs...But he rarely wrote songs...Peace...
Now I guess your getting into rap
I'm not "Just Getting Into rap" owning 400 albums...I had to work my way up from 5 years ago. Please note Age doesn't matter...
-
Alright man, but still, you were not into rap when Eazy was alive, as for me, my first album was Eazy Does It. And Eazy did order muthaphukkaz around when it came to others writng his shit, it wasn't like he just blindly say what onther wrote.
Anyways, homie, just remember that dispite the fact you've listen to rap for 5 years, yet your only 14, some muthaphukkaz still know a thang or two. After all, I love Motown, and I love old school love songs. But when an older man me about them muthaohukkaz, I take that shit in, because until you listen to an artist when his shit was hot and new, you truly can't appreciate the music, and get into it as much as if you were there at the time. So it's cool your into rap and shit, but stick to what you know.

Age doesn't matter
True
unless you listen to an artist when his shit was hot and new, you truly can't appreciate the music
Sort of, you can't appreciate the social effects it had unless you were there.
Safe
-
Yeah, that's better put.
-
for real... everyone says fuck/bitch/nigga this/nigga that all the time now.
but back then.. eazy & nwa were the only ones that were in the public eye doing it.
part of the appeal at such a young age was the language in it
-
IF UR 14................HOW THE FUCK DO U HAVE 400 ALBUMS???
WHEN I WAS 14 I CUDNT AFFORD 2BUY HARDLY N E ALBUMS!?!!??!
peace
-
Fo sure
This is not on the same subject as being there at the time but one of the reasons why Doggystyle will (probably) be my favourite album till I die was because it was my first album and I was like
Whoa
when I heard the swearing!
That won't happen again to me now
-
I've heard swearing since I was little. When Eazy Does It came out, I just played the radio side out load so my dad wouldn't take it away. But when the parents weren't home, the other side was played. HAHAHA!!! Now I can play what ever I want.
-
NIK is rich. Thats why he got so many albums.
-
No offense homie, but it's funny how you are telling me all this about Eazy E when you can't even spell the name of his album ("Eazy-Duz-It")...I'm not being mean and shit, but I basically grew on Eazy E...I know he wrote one or two tracks, but he CAN'T be considered a Lyricist/MC...Peace
-
LOL @ NIK Thinking He Can See, On ANY Level, M Dogg...
Believe Me, Your Knowledge Of Westcoast Rap Is Pretty Good, But It Falls At The Base Of Mt. M Dogg.... LOL
NIK, If I Read A Book About Your Childhood, Would I Ever, Ever, Everrrrr Know As Much As I Would Have If I Was Your Brother, And Saw It All? Hell No.. Now Apply That To What We're Talking About, And You'll See Our Point :)

Okay, this guy starts dissing me because he thinks he is the greatest, and tells me how much more he knows about Eazy than I do, yet he never met me, and hasn't read a 50th of my posts...What am I supposed to do?? let him think he's all hard, and above everyone who is younger than him?
-
Who cares what he thinks. Its the net dawg, not real life.
-
I don't think shit about you, sorry dogg. I really don't want to get into this, but you said some uncorrect shit about Eazy. Now if you know me for way back, I really come down hard on Eazy fans for thinking they are gangstaz like the E, but there's some of that in me too. Anyways, just when your going to put down an artist, come with some proof. Like if you look at Eazy Duz It, he writes no songs, but if you look at Str8 Off Tha Muthaphukkin' Streetz Of Compton, you'll see he wrote about half. With the 5150 Home Of Tha Sick EP, he only write one, Merry Muthaphukkin Christmas, but on It's On (Dr. Dre) 187um Killa, he wrote like 3 or four, but no less than two, because I really doubt Yella ever wrote rhymes. So I'm just saying, check your shit. Now I did come hard, but you originally did too, talking as if you know everything. But kid, do more research on the old school if your going to talk about it with muthaphukkaz who know about it. (damn, I'm only 20 and I'm talking like this, OH NO)
-
Homie...Your just lookin into the credits...If you look on Dr Dre's work, it says that he wrote every song he performed...Trsut me dawg, I know this shit...Juss cuz some shit says "Written By: Eazy E" and then some other dude after it doesn't neciserrily mean Eazy wrote it...The other dude could've wrote it, and then Eazy changed the lyrics around a lil bit and gave himself credit for writing...Come on homie, let's not get into this shit...I'm not one of those gay ass Eazy fans that think they are hard and act like Eazy, even though that's wht you think I am, I'm not...Just fuck it man, let's end it right there...
-
If you read the stuff in the Chronic liner notes, you woulda noticed that it was mostly NOT Dre-He credited other peeps for his shit.
But NIK's basically correct in his "not an MC comment"-Eazy was the leader.
And, naw, this ain't an invitation for beef-I just wanted to point out the Chronic thang..=)
Peace
-
On "2001" Dre is credited with writing on every song...
-
Dre gets writing credits for two reasons, one his a producer, and even Yella gets writing credit for producing. Also a bunch of other people do to, like people that get sampled. Like G. Clinton, who I guess according to your logic must also write Dre's Chronic lyrics.
Another reason is that Ruthless list ALL ghostwriters, no matter how unknow they are. They do not list the people that get sample, usually. Anyways, lets put this to rest dogg, I basically can explain the whole thing, but if you don't want to listen, then you going to be a stubburn kid.
