Would you consider this album a west coast classic?
I would.
-
hell no
Personal Business > Word On Tha Streets
there are definitely some classic songs on it but overall as an album no way
-
I would.
-
I would too
think about the year it came out 1998 you had these DPG related releases
Snoop- not much DPG on this but still
Daz
Kurupt
Bad Azz
Bad Azz had the best album followed by Daz, Kurupt and Snoop who you would think would have the 2 best dropped the 2 worst
-
Overall I enjoyed Personal Business more but both albums have Many Dope Cuts 8)
-
classic, no doubt about it.

I really don't see how "Personal Business" is better than "Word On Tha Streets". ???
-
In terms of just DPG/West-Coast albums, then yes... I guess so 8)
-
It was a great album. Still is. I thought his 2nd album was more musical though, better beatwise. Lyrically both are on point

if you were a Crip you'd understand
-
For example.....GHETTO STAR shits all over the personal business album
-
Classic, i like it more then "Personal Business".
-
yh it is. many gd tracks. last 3 or 4 traks on that album werent gd but the rest b4 that no doubt are jus dope
-

You mean if we were more into rappers going after commercial success? "Personal Business" was pretty good...But it didn't have that west coast classic feel that "Word On Tha Streetz" did. That's DPG in its prime. You should be able to tell which album was keepin it real and which was made for appeal.
-
not sure if i'd go with classic, but i liked it. and i liked personal business about the same as this one
-
very good
