Tha Streetz... is kurupt's best album,i think we all agree about it. Which one do you prefer between his first solo record and the third one ? (against the graind and Same Day Different Shit are out of the poll 'cause these records can't compete with kuruption and space boogie imho...)
-
Space Boogie, hands down. 8)

Between the 2 , I pick Space Boogie even though Kuruption had a few REALLY REALLY Dope tracks.
:o Fresh is probably my favorite track on Kuruption.
# 2 w/Nate Dogg on Space Boogie is one of my favorite Kurupt Tracks Ever.
And Overall I Actually like both Same Day and Against the Grain (Uncut Remaster)
better than Space Boogie or Kuruption 8)
-
Space Boogie! But I liked the West Coast C.D. off of Kuruption!
-
I'm the only one who voted for Kuruption LOL
I love the West Coast CD especially That's Gangsta where I got my name and Fresh like GM said
WE ARE FRESH! 8)
-
Lyrically I would still say Kuruption. Kurupt has some dope verses on that. SB's production is superior though. Beats were out of this world on that album. But lyrically he was not sharp on a few tracks on there. Same with Kuruption too, but I liked more songs from that album lyrically then SB.
-
yeah I agree with D-Nice for the most part 8)

I don't really like the East Coast CD xcept for a few tracks like Game, Set Up, Light Shit Up
too many guests who I never heard of and havent heard from since
if you combine the best tracks from the East and put them on the West one it would be his best album no doubt 8)
-
Space Boogie, and it aint even close for me. Perhaps I gotta give Kuruption another spin to see if i missed out on anything ;)

couldn't have said it any better, I'm more of a lyrical Kurupt fan so I chose Kuruption!
-
Space Boogie just for the "Space Boogie" and "Cant Go Wrong" tracks..
-
Space Boogie. I just can't get into Kuruption. I really only 'Ask Yourself A Question' on it
-
Kuruption, hands down.
Make Some Noize, Play My Cards, We Can Freak It, Fresh, C-Walk, That's Gangsta, Survive Another Day, Ask Yourself A Question, It's A Set Up, Light Shit Up, Game, No Feelings, and Who Do U Be are all reasons y Kuruption is better than Space Boogie.
On Space Boogie, I only liked Space Boogie, Onsite, The Hardest Muthafuckaz, and Bring Back That G Shit. It really didn't seem like a Kurupt album.
-
damnn this is a hard one..both albums are equal to me..
but if i have to choose one,
I go with space boogie,
why???
kurupt feat. nate snoop, daz, mc ren dj quik, xzibit, soopafly goldie loc(liks roscoe butch cassidy on bonus cuts) 8) 8) 8) 8) thats why
-
this song is one of the reasons I prefer "Kuruption!" Sick beat by Daz and Kurupt kills it

Space Boogie all the way, it has a better production quality. If the best tracks from Kuruption were condensed into a single disc, i think the argument would be closer.

Still, it's a close argument regardless. I do agree with u though.
-
I just heard Streetz is a Mutha and im pretty let down
does kuruption have more songs like we can freak it?
-
^^ REALLY?????
My vote was for Space Boogie, wasn't really feeling Kuruption to much, time to put it back into rotation and give it another listen

I wouldnt seperate em actually..thats jus me...
kuz if u listen from the beginnin 2 the end of both disc.. every verse gets better and better n then he blacks out..n gets in a zone..
space boogie imo was a pop album.. its like the goodie m.o.b's world party album.. a-1 production.. but the lyrics was not there.. and the rawness wasnt there.. my homegirl is a gotti fan.. she said it was his chronic album...kuz he had way too many guest..
and he didnt have any stand out lyrics..

I just heard Kuruption and it blows away Streetz is a Mutha imo
If it was one CD it would be a westcoast classic - i heard alot of peopel shit on the eastside disc, but the first half is pretty strong. some of the cuts even sound westish. The main problem with the CD isnt even that its too long, songwise: most of the songs just drag on too long. 5-minute, 6-minute songs? Nah, that ain't gonna work.

It's A Set Up, Light Shit Up and Game are my favorite cuts from the East Disc
The West Disc maybe only 1 or 2 are not that good but the rest of it bangs That's Gangsta, Fresh, C-Walk, We Can Freak It, Make Some Noize, Another Day all great songs. I think they needed to make this one album with about 15-17 songs and it would be classic 8)
-

7. That's Gangsta
8. C-Walk
9. Game
10. It's A Set Up
11. Survive Another Day
12. The Life
13. Ho's A Housewife

Can't Let That Slide - you little chipped tooth muthafucka you about to get slapped like a muthafuckin bitch for that
who was Gotti going at there?

^ Nas

^ Nas
really? was this before he did Don't Stop with him and Daz or after?
-
I think it was after they did "Don't Stop", I could be wrong though...
I'm not sure why he dissed Nas either but I think it had something to do with Foxy Brown/The Firm, and why he also said "Fuck The Firm" on "Callin' Out Names"

Don't Stop was around 1996. I really don't know why Daz didn't put the real version on Last of tha Pound. Obviously Daz and Kurupt didn't have their original verses on there, also dissing Death Row.

Nas said in a interview that he did not like to see Foxy dating gangstas. She was with Kurupt at the time so that was a obvious diss towards him. He said he is like her big brother when she was in the Firm.

just to add "Don't Stop" with Nas was recorded in 1995 before Nas made those comments, the only difference on "The Last Of Tha Pound" version Daz is adlibing Fuck Death Row in the background but the Kurupt and Nas verses are the originals, Daz may have redone his vocal
-
Space Boogie, hands down. 8)
