Spurs Closing In On Artest?
According to the Sacramento Bee the Spurs are closing in on a deal for Ron Artest.
The Spurs would send the expiring contracts of Francisco Elson and Brent Barry for Artest and possibly include a draft pick.
It is also believed, however, that Denver may be ready to part ways with Linas Kleiza for Artest.
Houston also reportedly had conversations with the Kings about Artest.
Shaq, Kidd, now Artest all going to Western contenders. This is sickening.

So you're tellin me you would've been happier with us keeping Smush Parker than making the trade for Bibby? I'm not talkin about this season. Obviously Derek Fisher > Bibby.

whoever comes out of the West will be far more battle tested then the Celtics or Pistons will be. The Pistons have a better shot in the NBA finals then do the Celtics, just based on experience. Your best hope is that whoever comes out of the West will be so beaten up by a crazy Western Conference playoffs.

Who cares?...Bibby woulda never fit in with us. They probably thought they could get more for Bibby at that point...Thank God they never went through with the trade, cuz we probably woulda never gotten what we have today...PeACe
