Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban said before Wednesday's game that the club will weigh its options moving forward to fill a roster spot with a big man to replace backup center DeSagana Diop, who was part of the trade to acquire Jason Kidd.
The more likely scenario is that the Mavs will watch the waiver wire and perhaps give a call to somebody like veteran 6-11 forward/center Dale Davis, who has been semi-retired in the Keith Van Horn mold.
"He's on the list," Cuban said.

Center Jamaal Magloire joined the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday after clearing waivers and signing a one-year contract for the veteran minimum of $1.03 million, which will be prorated.
The 6-11 former Kentucky standout is in his eighth NBA season. He was waived by the New Jersey Nets on Friday and should be in uniform when the Mavericks visit the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday.
That's better.

To fill the vacant roster spot, Detroit Pistons GM Joe Dumars has been looking to add another big man. Former Piston Dale Davis , who hasn't played all season, appears to be the leading candidate.
He has agreed to accept the prorated portion of the veteran's minimum. The eventual signing is pending Davis passing a physical.
