News On DJ quik..........
D.J. Quik, is hard at work on his follow up to 2000's platinum release, "Balance & Options." The as-yet-untitled album will feature guest appearances from a variety of artists. Recently, Quik finished recording a song with Reflection Eternal member Talib Kweli. The song, titled "7:30" was produced by Quik.
"First of all, he is very humble and well mannered" Quik said. Quik who has worked with a variety of artists over his lengthy career, was very impressed with Kweli's writing skills. "He writes quality shit just as fast as 2pac used to. I look forward to making more music with him."
There is no release date slated for Quik's new album, but confirmed artists to appear include Talib Kweli, AMG and Hi-C.

Heat Misers <----I have seen it in the Store but never picked it up
-
Heat Misers? I never heard of that one before.
-
thats just some cats that put quiks name on the album to make it sell, they had released the album before under a different name (ive forgotten)
i think quik produces one song or sumthin, i havent peeped it yet. definitely not a quik album
oh, dont forget the sheppard lane Konnectid Project, quik produced pretty much every track on that and features on quite a few cuts, its good.
-
They made a mistake. Quik's last album barely went gold. Took it a year to hit 500,000 copies sold.
-
isnt he independent now?
-
Yeah his old label dropped him like a bad habit.
-
more like he dropped the label (arista) after some retard from there said quik couldnt rap.
he's now got his own label (Euphonics i think its called) and it goes thru Universal
-
is it just me...or does Universal have the Industry on Lock?????
Aftermath
CashMoney
DefJam
That right there....is enough...
-
Now that Quik's got his own label he can make some great music. Fuck Arista, they told him to drop rappin and just be a producer, but the Quiksta is smart.
-
Aftermath is on Intesrcope...
