February 27, 2008. MediaTakeOut.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned that T.I. and federal prosecutors are extremely close to working out a plea deal which will reportedly net T.I. somewhere between 2 and 4 years prison time.
While details on the deal haven't yet been nailed down, they're pretty close. A source familiar with the case told MediaTakeOut.com, "The announcement could come down as early as Friday."
And there's more. MediaTakeOut.com has learned that the deal will not require T.I. to "snitch" on anyone.
Developing....

EDIT:
According to one of my sources Atlanta based rapper T.I., who's real name is Clifford Joseph Harris Jr was offered a 15 year plea agreement by prosecuting attorney David E. Nahmias.
The Mandatory min prison term for possession of a silencer is 10 years. The extra 5 years added to the prison term is due to T.I.'s extensive criminal history.Watch Video Here
At first I don't think anyone thought the "King of the South" would be looking at SOHH much time. Damn!

They'll set a good example if they lock him up. http://www.youtube.com/v/znW8JjfNpAs&autoplay=0

Yeah, it's ridiculous if they are really working out a plea deal.

yeah, that's quite the plea deal when your facing that much time. Take that shit if your him lol. Perhaps the feds aren't confident in the case anymore? I heard T.I. was close to getting the weapons found in his car and house thrown out..if thats the case, good deal for both sides i guess..

thats an INSANE DEAL! 10 times less jail time. how they work that out? ???

Get Paper Trail ready for us first, then do as much time as u want PATNA!!!
-
im thinkin if he does 2 years, won't really hurt him that much at all..drop paper trail..serve 2 years..come back out with an album within 3 1/2 years after paper trial or so..not 2 bad considering the time he was facing..
then again THIS IS MTO..hit and miss...will see

if the 15 years story is true, he'd be 42 when he's released. if the 2-4 year story is true, he'll be 29-33.

it ain't much of a loss... (in my opinion).

well if u aint a fan, ofcourse not..if you are, different story. Like me, I could care less if like Ja Rule or whatever were to get 15 yrs..
I guess will see. 15 years don't seem like a 'deal' lol, 2-4 seems more like that..but this could also be them tryna put some fear in em by offerin 15, tryna show em how serious it is..he won't take no 15 year plea deal though, i guarantee ya that
