I heard this a while ago but i read some where that when DRE left death row, death row beat the shit out of sam cuz he wanted say somthing negative about dre can someone clear this up for me

yea, becuz Sam was a friend of Dre's, dead row thought he was gon leave too, so they had a 'staff meeting' and started accusing sam of stupid shit like 'why dont u shout out death row in your songs' etc
apparently he got beatdown by the whole staff and i heard he got raped
what a great label

Thats messed up. It must have lead to a brain tumor. I heard that Sam Sneed never had any health insurance either.
I would have sued deathrow if they beat me down. First, society doesn't like it when an African American (suge) runs a successful record company and wants to see him fail. Interscope wouldn't allow them to continue to beat down their staff like this and it would have had to end anyway.

They cover this extensively in 'Have Gun Will Travel' by Ronin Ro. Like Mr. Loc said they had a staff meeting and tried to get Sam Sneed to come up with a name of a guy Dre was supposedly 'fucking'. This story was completely fabricated and Sneed stayed loyal to the truth and loyal to Dre, and cause of that he got beat down. And it also had to do with him filming a video for lady Herione out on the East Coast, without any West Coast artists appearing in it. Ahhh 96', what a great year for controversy.

Sam Sneed's from a part of the Pittsburgh area called McKeesport. That happens to be where I'm from. To have him tell it from what I understand, and this is coming from a third party, everything that was said in the earlier posts are true except the rape. He did walk out on his own two feet though. He's doing a lot better now too. He was on stage with Dre at the Pittsburgh date of Up IN Smoke tour. Him and Mel-Man who happens to be from an area of Pittsburgh called the Hill District.

Even thou i do listen to stuff from Death Row & I'm not prejudice towards them like so many people here, I dont agree with alot of things they say or do
They do have some fairly good talent at Row but its not used in the right way
& I dont like there weird mentality. They diss Eminem, but they are just dissing him because he turned down an offer to ditch Dre & join them.
So basically they're calling him a racist white boy fag, but if he was on Death Row they wouldnt be sayin that would he. How does someones contract with a record label change there sexual preference?

If jayo decides to turn down an offer with Tha Row he will get dissed the fuck out of...But if he does sign, they wont say shit....Dont you think thta's retarded? He doesn't have to sign to every lable that gives him an offer...If he did turn down every lable, and he got dissed by every one...He would probly be getting dissed on 98759476 songs....

I just check http://www.rapdict.org/person/849 and it says his real name is Sam Anderson so this his definatley him 'cause it says 'S. Anderson' in the production credits.
