Title: What rap songs do you want played @ your funeral?
Post by: Sikotic™ on April 22, 2001, 03:24:36 AM: I know not too many people play hip-hop or rap at funerals but I was wondering what song would you have played at your funeral if you could choose:

Here is my short list:

2Pac - Is There Heaven For a G
2Pac - I Ain't Mad at Cha
Dre - The Message
Ice Cube - Dead Homies

Thats all I got for now.

Those songs, I think, are the best songs dedicated to the dearly departed. I'd want them at my funeral because it would capture the time of mourning, but also make my family and friends realize they got to move on woth their lives, but never forget me.

cos all the fitting songs...that are about death n shit...are already dedications too someone else...so i wouldnt wanna blast out nobody elses tribute....

plus...id prolly want some party shit playin...cos my fam gets down like that (no matter what the occasion!)

That Was Crazy", And Come To Find Out, He Left It In His WILL That He Wanted That Song Played, As A Practical Joke!

My Dad Didn't Leave A Will, So We Didn't Play Anything Specific, Just General Music. The Pastor Wanted To Know What I Wanted Him To Say, So I Just Told Him To Emphasize That He Loved Everybody And We All Loved Him Very Much, And That He Loved Music And Telling Stories. Whenever He Did It, He Mentioned That He Loved The Temptations, The Drifters, And The Platters... I Was So Fucked Up I Couldn't Even Breath Right, And Was Shaking And Shit, So If They Would Have Played A Song, I Probably Would Have Had My Own Heart Attack...

So Watch What You Want Played, Because I Don't Think I Could Have Handled Them Playing One Of His Favorite Songs.

Just a fan of the music homie, but thanks for that. Yeah you should definitely pick that Doggy's Angels album. Fred Wreck, Battlecat and Meech Wells and all the Dogghouse production team on it. And lyrically they bring it too. But for my funeral bump Picture Me Rollin and like West Coast said, See You When I Get There but the clean version because my fam is church going people ;D
