Title: After hearing "Press Play", who would you rather produce Snoop's next album?
Post by: Detox Iz Not Active on March 18, 2008, 04:52:51 PM
vote or decide later

Dre been wack for a minute now but is there anything better then a Snoop/Dre track?

but Press Play made me think that Quik should of had all those beats not Teddy Riley

still got to go with the GOAT duo though

voted: Dre

"Press Play" was dope, but i still would rather hear Snoop over some Dre beats, since Dre is workin with Mel-Man again. Maybe they can make some classic shit once again.

I'd like to hear a whole album by Snoop and Quik, only because we haven't heard that before with the exception of a few songs.

However.......... I've been following Dr. Dre since he was a Mix-Master on KDAY, and he is absolutely the last person in this music business that I would ever count out or go against. You don't get to be a person of his stature without time and time again proving people wrong and being the best there is.

Quik just because he's been in the game just as long as Snoop, and still doesn't get the props he deserves. Dre's beats can also be very predictable, while Quik can flip the script.

If It was Anyone else I would Say Quik..
But Dre And Snoop is Like PB&J It's The Ultimate Combo. I say Dr.Dre

(Tho Pharell & the Neptunes Sound real Good With Snoop Aswell)

Whats with all the Quik dick riders around here. You hear one mediocre track and you guys go crazy. The only reason it sounds good is because most tracks these days suck.

Snoop and Dre > Quik and Snoop, any day.

Seriously, you think Quik could make better tracks then Next Episode, Still DRE and DoggyStyle etc?

imo Snoop should do one last album primarily with Dre behind the boards... minor contributions by people like Quik would be great, but have Dre look it all over.

its gonna be time for his 10th album, why not leave the game the way he came in? After that, become a full-time member of dogg pound and 213 and work on getting them into the positons they should be in  8)

make up 2 break up

both!

i duno, if we're going on what they're recent stuff has been, i think Quik takes it, but not by much, imo Quiks beats lately have been cool, but nothin special. I do think "Press Play" is dope as fuck though.

Quik, mixed by Dre

He's already made tracks that were just as good.

Doesn't really matter which one, still should be the bomb.
I can't wait to hear new Dre stuff so I voted him.

..and how are people saying Dre's beats have been weak? As far as I remember, last time Dre really constructed his beats, it was for Busta's cd and those were good.

It's not a debate whether Quik has made better tracks. The arguement is could Quik and Snoop make better songs then the current Dre and Snoop tracks. And what Quik tracks in the last 5 years have been that mind blowing anyways? The Fixxers? Trauma?

The sad thing about Quik is, he is mad underrated by the mainstream, but you guys WAY overrate him.

Quik is a great producer. But that means nothing. It's about chemistry. Dre and Snoop have better chemistry then any duo in west coast rap. (Producer-Rapper wise). Quik brings out the best in some rappers, Dre brings out the best in others.

Dre for 2 reason . The chemistry snoop/Dre and the fact it will be the 10th solo album from snoop and it will be good to see a whole snoop album produce by dre because when you look  back we have just an album entirely produce by dre from snoop and it was his best !!

I'd go with Dre, but either would be dope as hell

In fact I'd like a Snoop album with any dope producer doing the whole album, even if it's all Pharell or Pete Rock, or Primo or whoever... I'm not a fan of albums where the sound is all over the place because you have a million producers on there

you can still have alot of producers and have a cohesive sound ^

i dont know why people think you can't.

"Press Play" is a great track, but its one song that Quik did out out 21. Now if he did at least 3 or 4 maybe I can judge but Dre did 3 on BCT which were all bangers so I still would go with Dre.

It's possible, but how often does it happen? Illmatic is one of the few classics I can think of where it's different producers but cohesive sound
