I dont know what its called, but I know they have it...That's how they make Acapellas on CD's...Once I turned an Acappella up real loud and I could hear the music in the backround...

And dont go to the diggin section, because that is where they talk about samples in Hip Hop...Try the Technique Forum.... ;)

;)Sorry 'bout that , but I really don't think they make accapella with that kind of soft, caus' it's just a matter of tracks.
All songs are composed of multi-tracks u know (sure u know) so Vocals ain't recorded on the same tracks than the instruments. So they just have to mute every tracks but the vocals one(s) and here is the accapella....
What u may hear in the back should be residue from the mixers trcaks that have been cut.
Anyway i'm sorry, but i don't know if it really exists, it's a matter of frequencies (vocals freq. vs music freq.). So "remove" music can't be done eaily caus' it includes all range of common freq. (20hz-20khz)
Vocals is easier caus' it includes less frequencies.......
What was the prog. u were talkin' about ?
I'll try to get something to help you......
